Appearance

Her boots are very comfortable, soft fur inside, leather covered in plate outside. Her legs are wrapped in wool, then fine leather, fitted tightly with chainmail and a few Moonsteel plates on her hips and calves. The belt is made out of sturdy leather, with small plates as a decoration. On this belt, she can easily find places for her weapons, bags, pouches or even a flask.

Her torso armor is similar to her leg armor, but it lacks a leather layer and instead goes for a hard linen one, for more flexibility. Plates are positioned around her torso so her movement would not be affected, yet protection would still be provided to the greatest potential. Over the plates, there is a leather harness, attaching itself to the belt, to help her hold it’s weight better. On the harness there are few small, loose leather straps, in case she might need some additional items attached. Over the torso armor rests a Dorini Thera tabard, with a few cuts, small burn marks and even some bloodstains.

A dark helmet, made out of a single lump of metal is fitted around her head. It fits perfectly, with her hair. A silverish trim and a seasoned look of battle only makes her seem as threatening as a Stone Giant might be, with her eyes cutting their way into her opponents’ souls, akin to her arrows piercing the flesh of her opponents.

Her dark bow hangs on her back, just in a special slot, near her arrows. On closer inspection one would see, it is very easy to grab a bow and a single arrow, without making a mess, making it excellent setup for Kaleda, since she prefers mobile and deadly combat.

Her moonglaive is attached to her side, yet it could be found anywhere on her person, as she has many options, for many different terrains and occasions.

For her casual outfit, she is simple, her boots can be easily, with few minutes of work, turned into simple leather boots, her woolen pants are dark, warm and comfortable, only sign that they are used for armor set is leather straps used to keep chainmail, leather and plates from twisting and turning mid-battle. Her torso is usually covered in same linen layer, she uses under her metal parts. With dark looks, even without armor, she might intimidate someone but that is for personality section.

Personality

Kaleda prioritizes respect. If she is shown respect, she will return respect. She is not a shy person, and when introducing herself, she will often do it in a friendly way, unless she is met by the ones she hates the most: Orcs and satyrs. Her time in Ashenvale as a huntress, fighting against the orcs and satyrs has given herself a hate towards them. Kaleda is a person who prefers to have close friends, instead of many friends.

Kaleda, is loyal and hard to trust. She does not betray ones she calls her friends and does not stand idly if a friend requests help. She always checks on those she keeps close, making sure that they have enough and do not lack in any way, putting herself after her close friends.

On battles she tends to remain a solo warrior, but if good leadership is placed over her, she will work with others, like a well made clock. Due to her age, from side she might look like a rebellious soldier or one without discipline, when in fact it is lack of experience at play.

On casual days, Kaleda is relaxed, talkative, never holding out on opinions, rather straightforward but no matter her opinion she will remain a cheerful spark in the group, trying to turn awkward silences into laughter and discussions. She tends to daydream, sometimes about her future mate, sometimes about her future meal, being very imaginative, like she is, tends to bring those situations when the whole conversations can be lost due to thinking.

History

Kaleda was born in Darkshore, where she knew both her father and mother. Her mother was a sentinel, and her father was a druid. Kaleda grew up like most normal Kaldorei did, living in a small house out in the wilds near Auberdine. Most of her childhood, Kaleda spent reading books, or playing games with the local children.

From a young age, Kaleda had already shown an interest in either joining the Sentinels or, perhaps, even the Sisterhood of Elune. In the end, however, and maybe with her mother’s guiding, the young Elven girl decided to join the Sentinels certainly. Though she had not yet come of age, she had asked her mother who decided to start teaching her daughter in the arts of swordfighting, as well as the proper handling of the moonglaive and the pride and joy of the Night Elves, the bow. When Kaleda knew of these skills, at the very least on a basic level, her mother also decided she should learn to properly ride a saber.

Though, from then on, Kaleda spent most of her time with her mother, what few time she had was spent out in the wilds. When the young girl had grown into a young woman, however, Kaleda was finally ready to join the Sentinel Sisterhood, starting her basic training, where her mother’s skills proved to serve her well, helping her to pass through training with flying colours.

Kaleda took pleasure in her duty, often riding out or, more often, walking out with her sisters to patrol the forests. Though Satyr were rarely an issue, even less so near Auberdine, the Kaldorei still liked keeping an eye out for any disturbances, even more so of an outside source rather than an inside one. Most nights, Kaleda and her party encountered no resistance, instead returning to the barracks, having a bath and returning home before dawn.

Well after Kaleda had become an experienced Sentinel, however, something happened that none of her party were prepared for. As they went out on their usual patrol, a lone Satyr caught their eye and, as they set out to dispatch it, they were lured into a clearing. Killing the lone Satyr with ease, Kaleda and her group turned to leave when they found the exit of the clearing blocked, almost as if it had never existed. As Satyr streamed in from the outsides, the Night Elves were overwhelmed, their sabers slaughtered, and the survivors taken.

As Kaleda awoke, together with what pitiful few of her Sisters that had survived the assault, her mind was already racing. Speaking in low whispers, she turned to the other Sentinels, building up a plan to escape their prison and, when a Satyr came to take Kaleda away, she managed to knock him off his feet, using the dagger he’d tied to his loincloth first to kill her captor, and then to release her sisters. Better at navigating Darkshore than any other race, the Sentinels, under Kaleda’s leadership, made their escape into the wilds and back to Auberdine.

Immediately reporting to their superiours, Kaleda was pointed out as the leader of the ragtag band of survivors and, commended for her feat, she was chosen to lead the assault on the Satyr encampment. A task which the Sentinel gladly accepted. After resting, donning new armour and weapons and even being granted a Saber to ride into battle, Kaleda set out with a force of freshly rested soldiers to finish the demons off once and for all.

Kaleda had proven to be an accomplished leader and, as she and the surviving Sentinels returned -which turned out to be most of them thanks to their leader’s tactical talents- Kaleda was finally granted the reason for her being chosen as the leader. During her absence due to the assault, the Sentinel’s superiors had decided to grant their subordinate a recommendation and, only a few moons later, Kaleda found herself once again in a training facility for Sentinels. This time, however, she was not there for basic training, but rather to hone her skills as a leader. No longer a mere Sentinel, Kaleda was soon to become a Huntress of the Sisterhood.

The next few centuries of Kaleda’s life went by in relative peace. Only encountering few bands of Satyr, and no outside influences to speak of, there was not much to do for the Sentinels beyond keeping a close eye on the lands, and protecting the Druids that slumbered, though such duties fell to the Sentinels of different lands. Even so, the Sentinels had not grown lax over the years and, when news came from the south of greenskinned brutes, many among Darkshore’s forces were willing to travel to Ashenvale to assist in driving this enemy out, especially after hearing of the atrocities committed there against the land.

Kaleda fought bravely after joining the forces of Ashenvale. A new war, the Kaldorei had found out the hard way about who the enemy truly was, only learning of it when both undead and the demons of old charged through both Orcs and Humans as well as Night Elven outposts. It wasn’t until all the factions began to work together that there was hope of stopping the Burning Legion and, though every victory was bought with blood, Kaleda fought bravely and even managed to survive until the end, when Shan’do Stormrage called to the Wisps throughout their lands to destroy Archimonde once and for all, wounding Nordrassil and sacrificing the Night Elves’ immortality.

After the Third War, and the refusal of the Orcs to leave Ashenvale, threatening to start a new war so soon after the losses of the freshly ended one, Kaleda decided to make her home in the southern lands instead. Joining the efforts against the Orcs, Kaleda was more than displeased to learn Satyr had managed to settle in these wilds as well. Even so, the Satyr, despite their remaining strength, were seen as only a secondary foe, the true enemy being the Orcs of the Warsong clan.

Kaleda and her Sisters did their duty in Ashenvale, pushing against the Orcs hard and being pushed back often. They did so for many years, failing to gain ground yet managing to hold onto their ground all the same. However, when earthquakes started wracking the land, and news of Elementals gone wild started arriving, everyone was on alert. When the mountain in Ashenvale exploded, no one was truly prepared and Sentinels and Huntresses alike were thrown into chaos, trying to coordinate the defense effort against the Orcs, and keeping the local non-combattants safe. The Orcs, however, had no such issues as they soon sent news to Orgrimmar and, in response, were granted an army. Nearly reaching Astranaar, it took the Kaldorei a big effort to finally stop the hated enemy, hardly capable of turning them back with their own forces stretched thin.

Even so, Kaleda remains in her lands, often taking up her duties in Ashenvale, though she travels if she must. A soldier to the core, the Huntress could never abandon her people and her home to the throes of war.
