Appearance

An engineer by heart, Kagin is mostly seen in working clothes, covered by tens if not hundreds technological improvements and gadgets. He never goes anywhere without his wrench and scoped boomstick.

His entire person is covered by gizmos and devices, attached to his shirt, belt or pants by numerous hooks and chains. Several large satchels sit on his belt and the outer side of his boots/pants and a couple of pouches are tucked between his belt.

Personality

Kagin has a strong sense of justice, reacting strongly to any injustice to himself or someone weak/er. He's a friendly kind of gnome, not causing trouble on purpose or demand. It could be said that, above all else, he values his engineering contraptions, keeping them safe from harm any way he can. When insulted or generally angered, Kagin won't hold back any harsh words either.

History

Born before the Great Wars, Kagin was able to spend his childhood like any other gnome: study study study... And study. There was no time for games, no time for fun, only the studies and research. No matter how oppressive it seemed, Kagin didn't mind since he really, really loved tinkering with the contraptions in classes and helping the adults with the simple kind of research.

As Gnomeregan didn't take part in the First War, Kagin was in no way affected by it. Going about his daily life of studies and engineering, he got to enjoy the last days of peace.

The Second War brought war to the Gnomes. As the numerous gyrocopters and submarines were launched to help the battle on the front lines, Kagin had a chance to see Gnomish technology in action. Watching in awe as the aircraft took to the skies, as the small gray and yellow machines disappeared beneath the seas, he couldn't keep away from them for the entire war. Always there when a new bunch of copters were launched, always around when more submarines submerged, he had several (bad) ideas about improving them. As war ravaged the land, Kagin spent his time in Gnomeregan, studying and watching as others went out to battle. The war ended and he got to go back to just research day after day, but not for long.

The troggs, the killing and the release of radioactive waste forced Kagin to leave the safety of the great city and seek refuge in Ironforge, he didn't give up his research. Always working on new gadgets and gizmos, he didn't pay much attention to what was happening in the outside world. Taking a trip or two to Stormwind and the surrounding territories, he got to know the different races of the Alliance, if only a little.

Finally running out of funds after years of extensive tinkering, he decided it was time to renew his stock and what would be an easier way than just selling what he's created?
