Despite his tendency to act as though he were alive Julian feels very awkward around the living, his mostly decayed form has made Julian feel self conscious thus he mostly feels comfortable around other dead.

History

Julian was a simple man, he was born in Dalaran, he lived in Dalaran, and though a bit premature, he died in Dalaran. Julian was born into the Blanco family, Julian's father was an affluent Kirin Tor wizard, as was his mother. However, as was a family tradition Julian, the firstborn, was raised to become a knight. A small hiccup in this tradition was reached when Julian was born as twins with his brother August, it was decided they would both be knights. The boys both squired under the same Dalarani Knight and learned the ways of the sword and shield as normal young squires would. During this time the Blanco family also added the sister Joan, who was raised to be a sorceress.

When the Second War arose Julian and August were old enough to squire for their Knight on the battlefield. The horrors of war terrified Julian and he tried to be as cautious as he could be, August, however, felt more attuned to his profession and fit in with his master on the battlefield. Eventually the war ended, Julian's master had retired and the boys continued their training together under the supervision of a new Knight, until they reached manhood, at which point they were both granted Knighthood. As a congratulatory present, their mother, who was a skilled enchantress, gave the boys magical weapons, to Julian, she gave a shield, to August she gave a sword.

Life in Dalaran as Knights was quiet for the twins, they were little more than dignified guards. Julian developed a repute for being more chivalrous and noble than August, who others considered to be very forward and severe. There was a division in the family when Jaina Proudmoore lead the exodus westward and Joan Blanco followed. This proved to be a good move, as shortly thereafter the Scourge invaded Dalaran. In the invasion, Julian perished. When he was raised, Julian dropped his enchanted shield, which was recovered by his still living brother, who then fled into Ambermill to escape the destruction of the city by Archimonde's hand.

As a servant of the Lich King Julian did the typical things ghouls would do, at one point he was overcome by a group of rabid dogs who ate whatever fleshy bits they could get a hold of, the dogs of course died from eating Julian's rotten flesh. Julian went about like this for awhile until the Lich King began to weaken, at which point he slowly regained consciousness in Tirisfal Glades. Julian, having an intense thirst for vengeance, served in Sylvanas' forces until the Lich King was slain. During Wrathgate Julian spent his time in Dalaran looking for his brother, only to find he was still in Silverpine. Julian sought out his brother there, where he was recruited into the Black Harvest, seeking to further act as a knight in Dark Lady's service.
