History

Born on a road in Elwynn Forest, Joselyn was the last of three children. Since her mother died shortly afterwards, only Joselyn's father raised her and her older twin brothers. The three children were often pulled along in the money-seeking travels of their father. Rarely supervised or chastised for the their actions, the two brothers often stole and committed petty theft. Joselyn rejected their actions and prefer ed the formal business ways of her father. While the young boys grew skilled in thievery, the young Joselyn became talented in haggling and trade.

The difference in skills between the three children did not go unnoticed by their father. He began to ignore the boys and focus on turning Joselyn into a business asset. He sent the twins to the not-long rebuilt city of StormWind and took Joselyn with him in travel. At fourteen, and under the encouragement of her father, Joselyn began to use her looks to lure in clients. An older merchant that had settled in the current town of their business became interested in the young girl. Seeing the business possibilities, her father began to arrange a marriage.

Though Joselyn has always agreed with doing what must be done to succeed, she was still too young and reluctant to become married. The girl still had her fairy tale romances in mind. Within the week a wedding had been arranged. The day of, her father had to drag her out of bed and force her into a dress. Submitting for the time, Joselyn convinced her father that she would consent. But once her father had left to meet the merchant, she fled from the Inn they had been staying in and headed to StormWind.

Though they allowed her to live with them in StormWind, her brothers had remained bitter at her and their father for being tossed aside. She managed to soothe them with lies of how he had decided she was to be sent off also.

Three years passed. The twins had gained a successful group of thieves. Shedding her aspirations of business, Joselyn became a mere caretaker and cook to the various theives her brothers picked up. She had become merely Jo or Josie to the boys. Josie had caught the attention of one of the older boys. The smooth-talking charmer wooed the girl and wove tales of love and happiness. Smitten, she married the young man within six months. Less than a year later, Josie held a baby boy in her arms.

Though she had the baby, her husband never was around much. Heartbroken and disappointed in herself for being so naive, Josie poured all of her heart in her little boy Cody. She knew her husband was doing well in thievery; she often heard the stories around town of him and her brothers. Josie hadn't received a copper from him in months, and she had no way to take care of Cody. Out of desperation, she accepted the reward on her husband and brothers and told the guards of them.

Josie took infant Cody and moved to LakeShire. There she learned of herbs and assisted an alchemist. When Cody was five, Josie spotted a man watching the two walk through the small town. Since there were guards around, her husband stayed at a distance. In fear of his possible rage, Josie took Cody and fled back to the wintery Elwynn Forest. But also afraid she'd run into her brothers, Josie avoided StormWind. Terrified, she hid out with Cody in an abandoned shack within the forest. The Winter was not merciful; Cody's small body soon became tormented with illness.

A few weeks before Spring erupted, Joselyn returned to StormWind alone.

Joselyn has spent the last fifteen years of her life building business relations. Her knowledge in herbs and their recreational possibilities has served her well. Now comfortable in terms of lifestyle, her persistent working has slowed to a more calm pace. Though she still is vicious in her dealings, she's started taking more time for herself. Joselyn travels often between StormWind and Booty Bay, providing both with less than respectable goods and services.
