Other: N/A

Personality

Alignment: Neutral

A calm and level headed man, years of working as a paid hit man has helped the man maintain his temper under most situations. Despite what most people would assume from his job, Josef is actually a rather cheerful and talkative man. Generally a smooth talker, the man makes it a personal goal to try not to lie to close friends and family and will often appear to be overly harsh or blunt when telling the unfortunate truth. He has a bad habit of making jokes at the wrong time, or even telling morbid jokes to others at a whim. Despite his cheery attitude, the truth is that the man finds it hard to fully trust others and is constantly on guard and watching for faults or glaring lies in the stories of others.

History

Born at the start of the First War, Josef's childhood was filled with the constant feeling of fear and uncertainty as he and his parents traveled to Lordaeron to seek refuge. His father was a soldier and was sent off to fight against the Orcish Horde, leaving his mother at home with the child. Despite the ongoing war, his childhood was satisfactory, with his mother working at the local tavern. It was during the war when news came back that his father had been killed in action, leaving the young child alone with his mother. His mother, now working harder than ever, sent the child to the local church with the intentions of him becoming a priest. However, despite his mother's good intention, the child soon began to associate himself with the local thugs and gang members out of curiosity.

Years passed, with his mother remarrying and becoming pregnant with his younger sister. Josef, now a young adult moved back to Stormwind, was deeply intertwined with the local gangs and their lifestyles. However, one day as he and his friends were mugging a merchant in the back alley, the guards heard the cries for help and quickly arrived on the scene. His friends were fortunate enough to run away, Josef however, was stopped by the merchant as he grabbed onto his leg and delayed his escape. Now locked up inside a jail cell, the man was made a secret offer by a late night visitor. He could work as a mole for the SI:7 and turn in his friends in return for being freed from spending his life behind bars. Aware of his mother's pregnancy, the man eagerly accepted and was freed under the pretense of a corrupt judge and misplaced evidence.

Years passed, with Josef working as the SI:7's informant to help curb the amount of crime that his friends would commit. It was during this time that his baby sister finally began to mature, with the two siblings forming a close bond through letters. It was because of this bond, that Josef requested that he be reassigned, fearing for his sister's safety if his 'friends' ever found out about his real allegiance. However, SI:7 came up with another offer for him, a 'reward' as they called it for his outstanding work over the past years. He was given the opportunity to work as an agent of SI:7, as one of their multiple hit men. Despite his unease about working for them, Josef had little options left as not many people in the city were willing to hire a former gang member.

A couple of years went by, with a majority of his missions being successful. One day, news came by that his old gang had finally found out about what had really happened. Fearing for his family's safety, Josef quickly traveled back to Lordaeron only to find his house in flames. Rushing inside despite the flames, he managed to get his sister out of the burning house but failed to save his mother when the house collapsed. Now with only his sister for company, the man moved back to Stormwind as news of the Scourge menace began appear. Despite his superior's advice and warnings, Josef who was overcome with anger, performed an unauthorized attack on the former gang members he knew. This time, left with no other options but lacking proof, SI:7 destroyed the man's insignia and cut off all connections to him.

Now living with his rapidly maturing younger sister and left without work, Josef went back to the only place he knew would hire him; the local crime circle in Stormwind. Initially infuriated by the deeds the man had done earlier, they slowly began to trust him more and more as he helped them kill off potential threats and rival members. This time, Josef made the choice to stay neutral, only selling his service to the highest bidder to protect himself from the wrath of opposing forces. When news came of the war in Northrend, Josef watched with disbelief, as his sister ventured out to join the fight. Fearing for her safety, and terrified that she would have the same fate as his father he sent her daily letters, and would send a gift for her occasionally. When the war ended and she came back, the man was overcome with relief and welcomed her back with open arms.
