Personality

Johnathan has been tempered by many things in his life, though, not much different than many others throughout the history of those born in Lordaeron during the Three Great Wars. He has been a thief, a beggar, a lumberjack, and a soldier. His personality greatly reflects this, though, recently he has become enthralled with politics due to the growing nuisance of the Defias in Elwynn. Not exactly rich, he still boasts a savings in his bank from his life as a soldier, and he has not touched the money until recently. John is often relaxed to most other races save for those of the Horde whom he despises for the wars. Another note is that he has also recently taken lessons on literacy and has begun purchasing and reading as many books as he possibly can, when he is not working as a lumberjack.

History

Johnathan Williams was born to a family of four whom lived in Hillsbrad near the beginning of the First War in the Kingdom of Azeroth. His father was a lumberjack while his mother was a seamstress, John's only sibling was his elder brother who had taken after his father and became a lumberjack when he came of age.

During the beginning of the Second War, John's father had enlisted into the local militia to help fight the Orcish Horde. His brother had also wanted to, though, their father had forbid it. However, John's brother refused to accept this and enlisted anyway, though, Johnathan's father had never become aware of it. Most likely because both had fallen in the war, fairly early into the war.

Leaving John and his mother alone to fend for themselves, John, who was overcome with grief had gone on to run away from his home in search for his father and brother, for no one had come to bring the news of their death. A young John, only the age of ten had left behind his mother against her wishes.

For a couple of months he roamed the Foothills in search of his father and brother, though, he had never heard any word of them. Rather than return home, he decided to keep looking. This would eventually lead to him becoming a petty thief and beggar since there was no other way to gather any food etc. He never learned to hunt, after all. Not like he could with all of the Orcish patrols roaming as well.

Years had passed, and the war was finally over, young John had managed to avoid battles, mostly by word of commoners and refugees. Eventually though, the war would come to a close and John was now about thirteen. He had continued his life as a petty thief, as he had come used to it during his travels around Lordaeron, he had a few close encounters with the guards but due to his small stature and youth, he was generally able to avoid detection.

However, this did not prove true when he was at the age of fifteen and he had put together his own small gang of thieves, it was the first and at the time, the greatest mistake of his life, during a break in, the local guard managed to spring a trap on them. It quickly turned to bloodshed when the young thieves were confused in the process had gone on to draw their daggers and short swords on the well-equipped guard. It was a slaughter, and four of the six thieves were cut down, John and his friend Michael had barely managed to escape the bloodshed into the night. That night would forever be scarred in John's mind.

John and Michael had went their separate ways, John, at the moment, refused to continue his life style and he had decided to finally return home to his mother. When he arrived, he had found that she was no longer living there, and that the house had not belonged to his family anymore. He was told that his mother had packed up and moved to the Capital City. It was around this time that the riots throughout the internment camps had begun, and rumors of a new Warchief ran rampant.

John made his way to the Capital City in search for his mother, only to realize that it was an entirely useless endeavor due to the sheer magnitude of how large the population truly was. It would be impossible to locate his mother, however, he decided that it was time for a change and he had begun looking for honest work. Just outside of the Capital was the small town of Brill, and so John had traveled there and decided to become a lumberjack as his father and brother had been.

He would live this lifestyle for only a month as an apprentice before things had begun to get out of hand with rumors of a plague and the orcs rallying day-by-day. Nevertheless, during his days as a lumberjack, he had discovered that for himself personally, an honest pay felt better than all the thievery he had ever committed. He felt as if he were finally maturing into a man. Within what felt like a few weeks, he had heard rumors that Prince Arthas and a small brigade had held defended Andorhal from an army of undead, the rumor seemed ridiculous, but it was sadly true. Only seventeen, John would take what money he had earned and travel south to Southshore with hopes of leaving Lordaeron, he thought it best not to stay if things such as the living dead roamed about in the east.

Having arrived at Soutshore, John had payed for a transport to Kul'Tiras, where he would arrive and marvel at the still majestic fleet of ships that Kul'Tiras owned. He became interested in naval technology and the intricacies of sailing, while he wouldn't ever pursue the sailing part, he did, however consider the military. And it was about this time that John had heard news from Lordaeron, the purging of Stratholme etc.

Having spent five months in Kul'Tiras, John was now at the age of eighteen, and finally an adult, he enlisted into the Kul'Tiras military as a marine. He had undergone training and after a while, was ready to begin sailing on the ships he was so intrigued by, ready to fight for once like the men his father and brother were.

While Jaina took half of the remaining fleet west, John was, according to him, lucky enough to remain in Kul'Tiras, he had engaged in petty fights against pirates and the likes, as well as against naga and murlocs. Though, he was never in any large-scale battles other than boarding enemy ships, or helping defend Crestfall from routine naga attacks.

After six years of serving as a marine, John would retire from his life as a marine, and travel south to Stormwind, proud that he had followed in his father's footsteps. John had decided to make a living in the southern Kingdom of Stormwind. He had docked in Stormwind city, and was not able to afford a well-suited life in the city itself, as such, he had gone to live in Eastvale. It was here that he would live out his life as a lumberjack, until recently, since he has taken an interest in politics due to the nuisance that the Defias has become in Elwynn.
