Accompanying whatever armor he may be using, Jarred always carries his skinning knife and hatchet with him on his belt.

Personality

Jarred is very social and kind to his friends and loved ones. He can be very insecure about certain things, but will do what he can to appear strong when necessary, despite his fears. He is terrified of being alone, be it in terms of family and friends or physically alone. He likes to perform and entertain people, having performed in theatre acts in his youth. He is typically wary around strangers, but is quick to warm up to new people.

History

Jarred Wolfe was born just prior to the second war and the Greymane wall being raised, though his small family never left Gilneas before the wall. As he grew up he learned to tend to the needs of his father's farm outside the city of Gilneas, as well as other little hobbies that he shared with his father. When they were able to afford it, Jarred was taken into the wild to hunt alongside his father. From his kills, he was taught to skin and butcher beasts.

When he was old enough, Jarred started working as a nearby lumber mill, chopping trees and preparing lumber to be sold. This continuing hard work earned Jarred his strong muscular body. Around this same time, Jarred began venturing into the city on rare occasion to visit the marketplace. He was offered to work with a local theatre group to work behind the scenes in constructing sets and other labor, but eventually moved to the stage where he frequently played small parts in little plays.

Into his later teenage years, Jarred began to become rough and greedy. His trouble started when he saw the boy of a well off merchant wearing a fine silk doublet. He followed the boy until there were few enough people around and he threw a heavy fist at the boy's head, knocking him clean out. He stole the garment off the boy's back, taking it for himself. Upon realizing that he couldn't let his parents see the expensive stolen garment, Jarred sold it in the crowded marketplace. He made a nice sum of money, and for hardly any effort. He thought he could keep this up, and it turns out he wouldn't be so wrong.

After some time of being a pickpocket and thug alone, Jarred was adopted into a well organized gang of thugs and bandits. He operated well with his new "friends", holding up carriages and merchant carts on the roads leading to the city and robbing people in dark alleyways. He made a smaller sum per item than he did alone, but he was able to get a much higher frequency of takes with this gang, earning Jarred a nice savings. This bandit act continued up until the outbreak of the Worgen curse. Jarred had been alone in the city, looking for a suitable target to hold up when the Worgen began terrorizing the city. In the mess, he managed to hide in an unlocked cellar until things quieted down. Worgen still prowled the streets, but Jarred waited for a clear opening and dashed between hiding places.

His running and hiding would only last him so long, and he could feel himself becoming exhausted. Fortunately Jarred soon met Olivia Bayron and the two agreed to work together to escape the city. The pair fought their way through until they found a friend of Olivia. Jarred was nearly sick at the sight of her wounds, but managed to keep himself quiet. Eventually, they made it out of the city and to Jarred's home. The nearby village was empty, save for a few corpses. His own home had been abandoned, leaving him to assume his parents fled to the city after the outbreak. He collected what he could from his home, including the coin he had saved from his bandit work.

The duo then made their way to Olivia's home, where they were met with a feral worgen. It pinned Olivia to a wall, latching onto her shoulder with a vicious bite. Olivia stabbed the beast with her knife, but the worgen refused to let go. Jarred fired a shot from his rifle, but failed to land a solid shot and only managed to enrage the beast, causing it to barrel down on him. He was sure his end was upon him until he felt the beast's strength fade. Olivia had stabbed the feral Worgen, her own father, in the back. After allowing Olivia some time to come to terms with the recent events and her losses, the pair left the home and made their way in her father's boat to the harbor to find a ship leaving Gilneas. Before long, the worgen bite caused Olivia to turn, though Jarred was quick to restrain his new companion. He was able to apply a serum he was introduced to while passing through a town. Jarred kept a dose of the serum with him in case he was also turned, and this managed to be his saving grace. He was unfortunately turned, and it fell on Olivia to help him regain his humanity, even if only for a period of time.

The pair was soon turned to the Night Elves, where they performed the ritual of Inner Balance. The two then made their way to Teldrassil, taking place in Darnassus for a time before continuing along on their journey.
