Alignment: Neutral Good-ish

Jack is a man of calculated utility, always intending to maximize result output. This is backed by strong political belief in freedom, but in a very pragmatic sense that has leaded him to the conclusion that all that can be done is to promote the least oppressive ruler. The “layered” mind needed to be an infiltrator often causes him to function in layered crafted personalities, from barbarous commoners to the educated class. This can, at times of distress, cause him to suffer temporary identity crises, though his assigned purposes are never forgotten.

Capable of deep dissimulation, he can push himself to commit necessary acts that he perceives as evil if so ordered by parties he considers ultimately legitimate. He sees all humanoids as parties that he might need to negotiate with, and as such there is little room in his mind for bigotry. Despite borderline sociopathy, he is remarkably capable of deep empathy when need be, having an insightful index of the traits and beliefs social, professional and racial categories hold.

A smart street hound deep down, Jake understands that a proper balance of submitting and imposing one’s self is necessary to survive. With an aggressive sense of humor and an air of honest playful flirtyness, Jake's ego does often need reigning in. An introvert living in an environment of high required extraversion, he’ll often wear social masks for long periods of time, going into the isolation of secluded places like woods (or the odd library) for hours a week. Quick to trust those he feels 'of his world', Jake is still unable to feel any deep emotional connection to another without either distancing himself from the relationship or sabotaging it.

Belief: Provide maximum utility to the least bad faction

Impulse: Subterfuge.

Traits: Calculating, manipulative, quick

History

While he doesn’t know it, Jack was born in a small human encampment on the edge of Stranglethorn Vale, his mother dying soon after his birth. As soon as Grand Hamlet was rebuilt, Jack’s father – a rather young man of the militia and future second war military, took to the rebuilt town in southern Elwynn along with his son. Having ideals of his son becoming some sort of craftsman or intellectual, Jack’s father was often disappointed by the boy - as the lack of time to spend with his son once the second war had started often ended up resulting in Jack holding the company of the less „desirable” peers of his age and contesting his authority early on. With no kin in Grand Hamlet or elsewhere that the boy knew of, Jack’s father never returned from the third war around his son’s age of eighteen.

Soon after all of the resources left by his father soon wore out, Jake was left to assume a mature way of life and self-sustenance early on. From stealing, to hunting, to the oddest of odd jobs, he eventually became a person of reference for Darkshire’s shadier businesses, earning himself the nickname of `Daredevil` due to his minimal concern for his own safety during any endeavor that involved risk.

To sharpen his emerging trade and profile, Jack spent most of the years until this age of adulthood running jobs in between Stormwind and Darkshire. This got him into countless fights and almost a year spent in total in the stockades and various lock-ups throughout the time. Another ability he managed to pick up alongside fast-talking, brawling and knife-work was an ability he held a good talent for - impersonating. He would often work schemes in Stormwind that involved his posing as a wealthy noble, the persona of `Lord James` emerging.

Adept as his early years might have been, the higher masters of subterfuge of SI7 were not unaware of his petty dealings. However, with the crisis of the scourge darkening the world from the north, the organization’s efforts to rally those skilled in subtlety was extended. Jack was recruited, with offers of income higher than anything he was making, trained and educated to eventually become a full fledged and experienced infiltrator. Assigned to a new command, Jack eagerly expects his new chain of orders and command.
