Personality

Alignment: Neutral Good

A mixture between lawful and chaotic, but never truly neutral. Jaide is a girl who dreams of having grand adventures, to set out one day with a sole backpack on her back to explore everything out there. Not so much to learn or find artefacts, but to experience and truly feel alive.

Her traits would be kind, compassionate, helpful, mischievous, and last but definitely not least, curious. Smelling even the faintest hint for adventure, Jaide would keep herself close enough to hear. Not necessarily joining the conversation or chasing the people afterwards, but she'd keep it in mind and eventually find out for herself. (Depending on the risks, naturally)

As huntress, she prevents herself from bonding with animals. They are food, or are to be ridden on, and that's it. She holds no feelings for them, but isn't cruel to them. Simply indifferent, animals are animals, and the ones she kills are killed with a reason. Food, pelts, bones or possibly struck by a disease. She would never kill any living being without a good reason. Apart from that, she tends to be dreamy every now and then, dreaming of unreal and perhaps grand things. She knows the reality, and what she's capable off, but that doesn't mean one can not have wishes and dreams. And once dreaming, she's having a mighty fine time.

History

(Year 9 - 0) Lordaeron, a day trip from the main city but still in the protected regions of the grand capital. Born in the year of nine, Jaide grew her first two years quick and peaceful. Life was simple, sleep, eat, sleep and sleep some more as an infant. Her family was naturally thrilled, and took each small event as a grand happening. Learning to walk, her first few words, and the many more that followed. Being the first and sole child her mother had given, their grip had always been a bit tight. She was spoiled, but wasn't allowed the freedom she needed to explore her own ways.

Living in a mansion, with fields of crops nearby, Jaide was never cut short on anything deemed safe. Her parents had in the many years before Jaide's birth, reached a higher degree of wealth then most common men. Not noble by title, but in ways. The family shared it with the locals around, food and water was shared to travellers, donations were given to the churches within Lordaeron, and the workers on the field treated as family. Jaide never really noticed any of it due to her age.

As Jaide developed more and more by her parents teachings, she became more energetic and genuinely happy. She loved the outdoors, and would spend her time outside despite getting filthy whenever she could. Helping the hired men with the crops, seeding small bits of land and other (small) tasks a child of that age could do. Her life was quiet, tranquil. (Year 24 - 15)

Luckily for the family, they had little need of grain as they raised it themselves. Having kept a natural eye on the fields every now and then, they were unaffected and by chance, the family evaded the same faith as what happened to Lordaeron. When word first reached them about the strange plague, her father ordered to pack things up and moved away. He knew they couldn't support a entire city, not even if they wanted to. (Year 25 - 16)

Safely managing to move his family towards Stormwind, he used whatever he had left to buy a new house in Elwynn. Planning to start up the same way of living again, Jaide resumed following the teachings and general education. Things felt the same, but the whole journey had made a little spark within Jaide and she found herself quicker bored with the lessons then before. The house, despite the same size, felt small.

Despite the grip of her parents, Jaide managed to occasionally skip the classes (either by sneaking away before them, by convincing her parents she was ill, sometimes she just misplaced her books..) and found herself wandering outside more and more. The area was new, she hadn't fully explored it and just felt.. exciting. At times, Jaide would get home with a wound here and there, torn or mud covered clothes from the local bushes, but never anything serious. She had developed quite the character, and her parents often blamed it on the moving when Jaide ran off to explore again. (Year 26 – 17)

Sun shining, another warm cheerful day of which Elwynn is known about. Jaide was slowly snoozing off against the tree, her feet resting in a clean spring lake as water brushed over and past her feet. She gave a small smile, taking deeper breaths feeling completely at home. However suddenly, several footsteps disrupted the normal silence of the forest, quickly paced ones. Opening her eyes slowly, and withdrawing one leg lazily back she effectively tackled a stranger. Her eyes shooting wide open by surprise, gazing at the person as he crawled back up with bits of dirt on his face. Before Jaide could open her mouth to ask anything, he ducked behind the same tree as her and gestured for her to be quiet. Shortly after, two shouting guards ran past a few trees further. As the sound died off, Jaide finally opened her mouth to speak.

"What the heck was that about?" Jaide stared at the guy sitting next to her, who merely held out his hand. Introducing himself with a constant mischievous smile. There was something about him, as Jaide found herself looking more to his eyes then the story he told. As she seemed to stare more, her stare was met with the cold water from the nearby river stream. Realising she had been rather blunt, she chased the guy and swore revenge.

That was the start of a friendship with the hunter's boy, and they were seen together frequently after that day. It seemed as they had a instant connection the moment they met, and Jaide couldn't help but find herself lost in his freedom. She came home later, didn't bother with teachings any more, but no matter how much she loved her parents, they always found themselves arguing about her ways. Especially when their friendship evolved so much that the boy started to learn her the tricks of the trade. (Year 31 – 22)

Eventually, the hectic s reached a point where Jaide's opinion and freedom felt ignored. From the constant arguments at home, resulting to loud door bashing and harsh shouting. Not being able to take with the grip of her parents any more, she moved out of the house. Despite painful, it felt like she was managing to breathe since a long time again. Her friend was naturally there for her, but with all his mischievous tricks and deeds had never really grown up or spend time thinking about the future. With whatever she had left of her allowances over the year, she bought herself the tools she needed to perform the only useful (to her idea) trade she had learned over the years. Hunting. (Year 33 - 24)
