Hair: Islean's hair is grey, but it wasn't always that way. Her hair was originally black, but by the age of fifteen it had all faded to grey.

Islean likes to keep her hair looking gorgeous. When she isn't working she will generally have her hair down and styled in many different ways. This style will be chosen to match her outfit for the evening. When she is working however, her hair is always kept in a bun.

Eyes: Islean's eyes are also an oddity. Once a shade of bright green, they also faded to grey.

Appearance

Islean is dressed to meet her own standards. Beautiful and jaw dropping! When roaming about she wears elegant dresses of her own creation. Even when among common folk she wears only the most stunning of masterpieces.

Personality

Islean is a fashionista at heart. She loves going out and showing off her beauty, and the only thing she loves more than that is the art of making it.

A very proper girl, Islean has only the utmost of manners. No matter who she is speaking to be it human or dwarf, she will speak with grace and elegance. Even if she were to meet an orc, she would spare him no pleasantries.

Islean uses this to get men, and even some women, to do things for her. Most of the tasks she entrusts them with however are nothing more then moving a heavy object or running other errands for her.

Islean has been known to seek companionship, but most of these encounters are not very long lasting. This is odd because Islean views companionship as something that should be taken seriously, and one should not just throw themselves around, yet she is always looking for a new suitor. Some insecurities lie inside that even she doesn't fully understand.

History

Islean grew up with her parents. Nobles in Stormwind, they were always promoting good manners and proper self management. She began sewing at a young age, and for years she continued to sew. From the age of six she was creating socks and shirts for the other nobles' children.

After Islean had turned ten and was rummaging about the family library when she came across a grimoire that caught her attention. After skimming through the book for a few hours, she found a spell that she wanted to try. Having very little understandings of magic, she wasn't sure of exactly what she was doing, or even that the spell book she had found was one of malefic intentions. The spell had failed, and it took it's toll on Islean. The failure had scared her, so she hid the book in the library and would not return for some time.

When signs of her condition started to show her parents took her to everyone who they thought could help; medics, priests, and other magic users. None could tell them what was causing this oddity, Islean didn't even know it was caused by her failed spell. And so, determining that it was so far not a threat to her health, they chose to simply accept it.

At the age of sixteen, Islean was an artisan; she was creating dresses for her parents and others. She attended operas, and other higher brow levels of entertainment where she could show off her work. But it was time for her to leave her parents and go off on her own. For two years she continued to shock everyone with her fashionable clothing, and they were willing to pay handsomely to get a hand on her work. This allowed her to live rather luxuriously in the eastern part of Elwynn Forest.

A few weeks after her eighteenth birthday Islean was visiting her family, she started browsing the family library, looking for ideas for a new dress. It was then that she stumbled upon the grimoire that she previously encountered, but now the book seemed to call to her. At first she only read it out of curiosity, but as she delved deeper into the book her curiosity turned into angst. So she began to follow the steps in the book and slowly but successfully began to learn the arts of shadow magic. Knowing now that this type of magic was seen as dangerous and “evil” she hid it from the world.

Most of the spells she learned she later attempted to modify in a way that she could use them to imbue her clothing. This came with varying results. Some clothing was indeed changed in magnificent ways, other failed attempts just ended in explosions and living dresses out for blood. It wasn't until the age of twenty-one that she found a very appropriate way to use her new found spell book. Learning how to summon an imp, she employed it to help her make dresses, and it in fact did help her a great deal when she finally managed to keep it from burning all the dresses in sight.
