Personality: Isela is the type of person that seeks amusement at the expense of others. If she should humiliate somebody in the process of making a joke or telling a story, that only makes it all the funnier to her. Emotionally, she is quite scarred by what has happened over the course of her life, and rather than be consumed by an overwhelming depression, she leads a largely hedonistic lifestyle, enjoying what she can, when she can, if only to drown out reality with jokes and laughter. Being very faithful to the Light and the Naaru, she is capable of displaying compassion and forgiveness, but a harsh life of loss has tempered her willingness to show those traits. Of course, recognising her faults, she does make conscious attempts to improve on this.

Isela is nosy, curious and stubborn to a fault. If she wants something, or wants to learn something, she will get what she wants. Eventually.

She is also very clumsy, which results from her inability to stay focussed on one thing at a time.

History: Isela was born on the dimensional ship Oshu'gun, to a tailor family of little prominence or note. She spent very little time with that family, instead choosing to associate with friends and rivals alike. She spent the majority of her time amongst them, and as such, learned more from them than any others. The consequences of this, though, were that she was essentially learning second-hand life skills from a variety of undeveloped and (occasionally) conflicting sources. What little she gained from her family extended to basic manners and a reverence for the Light, and the Naaru.

As a result of the differing sources of information, as the many hundreds of years passed, she became conflicted in herself, and in her beliefs. She loathed the Burning Legion for what they had done, and for the countless lives they had taken; yet, at the same time, she feared them, and the terror they inspired, and the worlds they had consumed or destroyed. She was also forced to confront the fact that many of their own people had been seduced by the Legion's powers, and were part of the pain of the Draenei.

Come their arrival on Draenor, Isela began to teach herself how to fight, exploring the surrounds thoroughly so that she might better know it, and how to defend it, if need be. She promised herself that, unlike Argus, which had been lost before her birth, she would keep Draenor safe, to make up for the losing their homeworld.

Eventually, she chose to settle in the northern Draenic settlement of Enkaat with her family, where she continued exploring the surrounds. Over time, she began to forge a closer bond with her family, but was never entirely open with them. Many years passed, and all of her efforts, all of her progress was for naught. It all came to an end when the Orcs were corrupted by the Legion. She fled from Enkaat with her family, heading west, to what is now Blade's Edge, finding sanctuary in one of the many refugee camps their people had erected.

Their safety didn't last long. The Orcs hunted them down, slaying many. Isela lost her entire family, save for her mother.

Those that escaped were few in number, but made it to yet another camp in the marshes to the south. There, however, many succumbed to a deformation, becoming less than Draenei, and degrading into the Broken. Isela watched as the days passed and she remained healthy, whilst her mother slowly lost her mind, and, eventually, with many others, were forced out of the camp, for there were fears that their affliction might spread. Isela was forced to witness as her mother disappeared into the depths of the marsh. She never saw her again. Time passed, and the planet was sundered. Not long after, many of the Draenei forced their way to the Exodar, fighting for a chance to escape the ruined world. Isela was among them, and upon crashing on Azeroth, was one of the first to leave the islands they had found themselves on.

Confused, distraught, and utterly alone, she set about learning about that new world, but otherwise caring little for its inhabitants, believing - and fearing - that they might turn on them just as easily as the Orcs had. She sought to drown out the nightmares of the past, and the bitter memories of what had been lost, with pleasure and merriment. It did work, but the evasion only let the problems build, without resolution.

And so she continued on in that matter, seeking to be free of the horrors she had endured, and never wishing to face up to the terrible, disillusioning truth.
