Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: When choosing clothes, it is obvious that Hogral looks at the amount of pockets first, and the looks second. Small pouches and so forth has been stiched on at nearly every available space on most of his outfits. Usually, these consist of airy, comfortable linen of the cheap variety, with furs and leathers strapped on outside to fit the climate of whatever corner of the world he's currently working in. In addition, he usually carries a pickaxe - One end has been left untouched, for excavation purposes. The other edge has been hammered out to resemble, and function as, the edge of a hand-axe.

Personality

Much like his appearance, Hogral's personality very much fits the mental image most dwarfs have of an Explorer: An impulsive, adventurous type with an unending thirst for knowledge about pretty much anything exotic or ancient. Years of travels has opened his mind to foreign ways, although his mindset is still very firmly dwarven. Much like most senior explorers, Hogral seldom attends to his duties back at Ironforge, often disappearing for months or years on improvised expeditions to faraway ruins and cities - Often in the company of fellow, paperwork-avoiding veterans of the League.

History

Hogral was born into the Coalbeard Clan, a Clan of Miners of the Ironforge Middle-Class. Initially raised to become a miner, Hogral was taught to find seams of ore and carry coal, and stayed in the mines until adulthood. At this point, he left Ironforge with the Merchant Caravans. To start off, he peddled coal and minerals for his Clan although eventually, he set up as a full-fledged trader. Although his business never brought him huge amounts of gold, this was never really his goal - As long as he broke enough of a profit to go on seeing the remote corners of the world, he was content.

This existence went on for about a century - At this point, he was familiar with large parts of the Eastern Kingdoms, and knew the basics of several languages outside the usual Low Common and Dwarven. About two decades in the past, however, The Explorers' League was founded by King Bronzebeard. In the beginning however, most of the candidates for Explorerhood would be former Miners (thus explaining why low-ranking explorers are still called Prospectors). This meant that Hogral, with his solid knowledge of Geography and Foreign Customs, managed to slip into the League at an early stage, quickly establishing himself as an energetic and (after the somewhat unusual standards of the League,) reliable member.

Hogral has been an active member of the League ever since, participating in a wide variety of expeditions and excavations. His heart has always been in the exploration though - The Meeting and Charting of foreign cultures and ruins.

With the recent discovery of Kalimdor, he has gotten ample opportunity to do just that.
