This is a bulky blademaster. His frame is topped with large, well honed muscles, tattoo's and scars. His bulk and tall frame were received from the ingestions of fel blood in past years.

The top of Gruum's head is crowned in a great braid that ends in a wicked spike tied in place by the hair. His beard is a long, shaggy but well kempt mane of gray hair decorated with various braids and orcish decorations.

Personality

Alignment: Lawful Neutral/Evil

Gruum is a relatively polite orc. His manner is curt and patient with many of his kind, part the youngest ones. Amongst those of equal rank and age, his patience and respect are unending, and shaman receive his greatest praise. However, outside of his kin, Gruum is a cruel and merciless persona, showing little care or appreciation for either life of significance for anything outside the Orcish lands, or those of the New Horde.

History

Gruum has lived for a long time, and his life started as a calm tribal life, ending in a symphony of terror, blood and hatred.

- Draenor -

These days are remembered fondly; Gruum speaks of his Om'riggor with great pride, clutching his talbuk bones firmly, with a sweet smile. The Om'riggor serves as an initiation into adulthood for any orc, and Gruum was no different. He remembers well the pride and eagerness he felt the moment he was told to hunt the talbuk with nothing but a dagger and loincloth; he remembers well how he fell the talbuk ramming the dagger into the beast' throat and roaring in pride as the blood soaked him.

- First War -

The Orcs were led to a glorious battle; Gruum had joined the Burning Blades temporarily to begin his training as a Blademaster; it was here that he met his mate, a strong woman that helped him ascend in ranks of blademasters and gain all his knowledge and skill he still has today. His line was to be continued with a son and two daughters, all of whom he was proud to no end. All three children learned first how to wield blades before they learned either first words or how to walk, and later as his mate picked up blacksmithing, so did his daughters. The mother and two daughters joined skilled hands to create two Thorium swords for the Father and the Son. Gruum still wields the sword today.

- Second War -

The Orcs were defeated and Gruum was shattered. His family had been slaughtered, and what little remained of his pride and honor was obliterated once he was dragged to the internment camps.

His lethargy and blood-lust faded, and the now aged orc was to weak and beaten to try and regain his freedom. His braided hair and beard were cut, his body beaten and destroyed. Yet the humans could do little about his mind, and here Gruum learned the benefits of discipline, order and meditation. Time passed on and on, and with every free moment it was spent on meditation and self-control.

However, when the time came for freedom, Gruum grabbed the first opportunity to get his sword back and that of his son using both to cut down the rows of humanity and allies in an endless stream of rage and blood. He earned his true name then, and to this day he speaks it with pride.

- The last Several Years -

Gruum did not travel with the New Horde to Kalimdor; Instead when the opportunity came, he traveled back to his clan in the Blackrock Mountains. There Gruum revelled in glory of olden times but...the glory of olden times never returned. He realized this was not Doomhammer's Horde. This was under the watch of the Blackhand brother's and the Black Tooth Grin, with cutthroat's and murderers rampaging through the spire desperately trying to eek out a living while being battered by dwarves and still living as slaves to their blood. Gruum was, for the moment far too weak to leave the Spire; the paranoia and weakness of the Dark Horde allowed him to remain relatively unknown and when his strength returned at some point, allowed him to leave unnoticed as well.

He returned and learned that Hellscream had died a hero, Thrall had stood as the new Warchief and that the Orcs were truly freed. Gruum joined the ranks of the New Horde as an aged and knowledgeable Blademaster, traveling to Northrend and where the Call of Duty demanded he be. Now he stands shoulder to shoulder with the Deadeye Watchers, eager to soak his sword in blood of anyone or anything that will stand in the way of the Horde.

Skills and Abilities

Wind Walk
Gruum can travel on the wind for short periods of time. During such, he moves at unimaginable speeds, travelling extreme distances in a short amount of time.
Mirror Image
After a moment of deep meditation, Gruum calls out to the wind elements to form images of himself. They are temporary, easily dispersed, and do no damage.
Enchant Blade
Like a shaman, Gruum can call upon an element to engulf his blade, to be more precise the elements of Fire.
Bladestorm
Whirling about at high speeds, Gruum's blade bites into everyone and everything around him. Wind elements add speed to the spin, causing him to move at incredibly deadly speeds.
Unwavering
Gruum is resolute, and firm. If he sets his mind to kill something, hell hath no fury as the Blademaster. He will cut through anything that stands in his way to get to his kill.
