Personality

Gor'kar, unlike most of the wiser aged Orcs, continues to live for battle and shows it with his fiery temper, pride, and undying honour to the Horde. He also has a duty of honour to his friends and those he fights alongside, putting the safety of others before himself.

Because of his previous combat experience, Gor'kar does have several lessons to teach those who ask. And while he fights for the Horde and the Horde alone, he is more than capable of having a drink with a member of the opposite faction. He leaves his hostility for the battlefield. He also harbours an unsettling hatred of Warlocks due to what such magic did to his clan and himself, and has to stop himself from driving an axe through their skull whenever he meets one.

History

Born in the peaceful world of Draenor, where Orc and Draenei shared the lands, Gor'kar experienced tranquility and serenity first-hand as soon as he was capable of understanding such concepts. For half of his life, he hunted with his brothers, with little to no conflict between any of the humanoid races. As a member of the Warsong, Gor'kar was taught ancient chants of his people, which he sung as he wrestled down the more hostile beasts of Draenor.

Soon enough, however, Kil'jaeden had made contact with Ner'zhul, and the slaughter of the Draenei began. Along with the rest of the Warsong, Gor'kar battled against the Draenei, until Gul'dan eventually convinced his brethren to drink the blood of Mannoroth the Destructor. Within the new bloodlust, Gor'kar slaughtered many Draenei, taking part in the invasion against Shattrath City.

Eventually, the Old Horde marched through the Dark Portal, and began their siege upon Stormwind. Gor'kar fought alongside Warsong mainly, showing their great potential as a vicious fighting machine capable of felling any and all enemies of the Horde. Gor'kar killed many a Human, and much like the slaughter at Shattrath, emerged victorious. With Stormwind destroyed and the Humans in disarray, the Orcs retreated to Draenor to reassemble and plan their next assault.

Gor'kar remained on Draenor along with the rest of the Warsong as the rest of the Horde fought and lost against the Humans in the Second War. Soon after, however, Gor'kar was charged with guarding the Dark Portal from the Azerothian side. The Warsong were left without a way home after the destruction of the Portal, leaving them to thrive in the wilds of Lordaeron for nearly 10 years, time which Gor'kar used to lull things over, especially the future of the Warsong. Gor'kar used his previous experience from hunting on Draenor to help catch game to feed him and his brothers. While he hunted and thrived, he began to use a small knife to begin tattooing his arms with iconic scars, including several marks of the Warsong. He didn't do so out of self-destruction, but rather to show his honour to his brethren.

Like Grom, Gor'kar and many others were forced to fight against the demonic curse that seemingly affected all within the Warsong. It was a very long wait within the wilderness, until an Orc named Thrall sought out Grom, who taught Thrall the ways of the Old Horde. Gor'kar and the rest of the Warsong eventually met up with the Frostwolves, and hatched a plan to free the rest of their Orcish brethren from the internment camps set up by the Humans.

Gor'kar fought relentlessly against the captors of his brethren when the time came. His size alone aided him, causing several humans to shake in his midst and display of relentless bloodthirst in combat. He took a few gashes to his arms and torso, nothing too serious.

Eventually, Gor'kar went across the seas with the rest of the Warsong, and in an unfortunate turn of events, the entire clan gave into the bloodlust brought on by Mannoroth's manipulation, slaughtering Night Elves who tried to stop them from tearing up the forests. They failed, and eventually, the Elves' demigod Cenarius had to take action. Instead, he was slaughtered by the clan, whose powers had multiplied thanks to the demonic blood curse.

Of course, the Orcs under Thrall's command caught whim of what had happened, and fought against the Warsong. Gor'kar killed many of his brothers in battle while under the bloodlust. However, Grom overcame his own bloodlust and eventually slew Mannoroth, freeing the Warsong of their curse but taking his own life in the process. Gor'kar still retained blood-red pupils, a reminder of the atrocities he and his brothers had caused.

The demonic threat wasn't over, however. The Burning Legion, aided by the Scourge, began its assault on the World Tree. The Orcs, alongside the Night Elves and the Humans, defended the tree as best they could, but against impossible odds, let Archimonde and his army through. Gor'kar fought ferociously against the Scourge, his axes rending many a foe in two even in the face of death. He had got to the point where he was overran by at least ten Ghouls, cornered alongside an Elven hunter. As the Ghouls closed in, Gor'kar readied his axes, and began to roar out the chants of the Warsong. He charged, his axes spinning and whirling around in a beastial vigor. Several Ghouls managed to make contact with him before being separated from their heads by Gor'kar's axes, with the Elf finishing off the rest with a fantastic display of bowmanship. The corpses fell, and Gor'kar and the Elf fought alongside each other as they made their way to the last fallback.

Eventually, Archimonde was destroyed by the wisps summoned by Furion Stormrage, signifying the end of what would've been a cataclysmic battle. Each of the races went on their separate ways, and as one would've guessed, war broke out under word from the Humans. Alliance against Horde.

Eventually in his mature age, after several small conflicts and skirmishes against the Alliance, Gor'kar purchased a tame Kodo off of a Tauren in Mulgore for travel and battle, since he did not particularly enjoy the lack of defense a riding Wolf offered him, and prefers to take things slow. Often, on his travels, he beats the drums strapped to his Kodo with the back of his axes, letting the songs of the Warsong travel the winds. He now wanders Kalimdor, combating the enemies of the Horde and bringing those who wield demonic magics to justice.
