Personality

Alignment: Neutral Good.

Garun is quite normal for a tauren. He is passive in his manner, uneasy to anger and speaks in a slow pace. He cares for the environment and all the animals that inhabit the world, taking each kill very seriously and makes sure not to put any piece of a kill to waste. He never takes more than what he needs and avoids violent conflicts if possible. Very loyal to his own lands and people, he respects the alliance forged between orcs and tauren, grateful for their help against the centaur. Trolls are approached with caution, while Forsaken are enough to drive him away from their location. Blood Elves cause him to feel sick with the fel corruption that lingers to their bodies, also causing Garun to avoid them.

Most of the Alliance races are avoided if they look hostile, otherwise he may be friendly and kind. He highly respects the night elves for their endless fight for balance with nature, though knows not to trespass in their lands.

He is a bit of a loner, often finding companionship in his loyal hunting hound, Bron. He tends to avoid major settlements, preferring to visit trading posts and checkpoints if he needs to trade or rest. Every once in a while, Garun will return to his clan to drop off the best of his findings, only to return to feeding his wanderlust.

History

Garun was born to a pair of hunters in the Thunderhorn Clan, learning how to survive in their nomadic life-style. He was groomed to be a hunter just like his parents; taught how to track, how to wield a rifle, the proper way to skin a kill and the importance of nature being stable. He stuck true to the Tauren ideals and was soon to begin his Rite of Passage before a centaur raiding party attacked the clan. His parents were slaughtered in the onslaught, Garun managing to remain hidden out of fear. The marauders were beaten back after time, but not before a good deal of the camp was wrecked and many braves killed.

In the aftermath, he felt sorrow and anguish for his apathy. The Thunderhorn clan moved to a more secured area, where they met the orcs under Thrall’s command. Eager for aid against the centaur, Garun like many other tauren, gladly accepted the orcs’ assistance. Garun took a liking to the strong and honorable warriors, impressed with their strength and might as they cut through the half-man half-horse bandits. When Mulgore was reclaimed and Thunderbluff was founded, Garun kept to the old ways of nomadic roaming, avoiding the war for the World Tree. He preferred the life he had before, wandering about the world and seeing what it had to offer. After the Third War, Garun returned to Thunderbluff to complete his Rite of Passage, where he found a wolf in his vision. It didn’t take long before he managed to train a young wolf, named Bron, to serve as a companion in his travels.

He rarely paid attention to the politics involved in Thunderbluff, all the Clan bickering over issues he didn’t feel that were important. He is quite content to keep to himself and every once in a while bring back his findings to his clan.
