Appearance

Endrastera tailored her own armour. The hardened carapaces of Silithids made for adequate plating, their exoskeletons easily as strong as – if not stronger than – steel. She supplemented the gear with leather for its durability and flexibility. When not protectively clad in her regalia, she dons sandy robes and a hood which defend her from Silithus’s intense heat and relentless sandstorms.

Other: She possesses a stylised Silithid Wasp facial tattoo.

Personality

Alignment: Chaotic Good

An inquisitive woman, Endrastera sometimes involves herself in matters for no purpose other than to see how they pan out. Though she can be reckless and make unfathomable choices, her bizarre behavioural patterns seem to follow definite trends when the larger picture is considered. She permits the tides of fate to carry her where they will, believing that all things that happen do so for a purpose, and that it is her duty to make the best of a situation she possibly can.

Straightforward in conversation, her chaotic nature surfaces in the decisions she makes and how fervently she follows her chosen path – or how swiftly she elects to deviate from it. Versatility and adaptability, she believes, are the keys to survival. They are the reason her people survived before, and they will be essential for their continued proliferation. She prefers action to speech, and if words fail, she doesn’t hesitate to use force.

When it comes to the Alliance, Endrastera’s allegiance to the other races begins and ends with how useful they can be to her in an assignment. She isn’t overly vocal about her distrust for Arcane, but has neither patience nor tolerance for Fel-users, and takes special delight in battering sense into them. Members of the Horde willing to assist in the fight against the Silithids are endured, but she prefers not to associate with them outside of battle. The only exception are Tauren, which she connects well with due to their shared affinity for nature.

Other than that, she has a fascination with blunt weapons, and finding inventive ways to crack through a Silithid’s defences has become a hobby for her.

History

Born on the borders of a vast and unforgiving desert, Endrastera’s childhood was travelling with her largely nomadic community in search of water sources, and caravans they could sell supplies to. They often encountered southern Kalimdor’s more reclusive races, but kept largely to themselves when not trading. Every member of the moderately-sized party was versed in battle, trained with a weapon, and most knew how to forge and smith proficiently. Travelling carried a great danger, but numbers and the wisdom of their eldest kept them from the direst troubles.

Over time, individuals began to settle and take their leave of the group. Their final destination was a small desert village. Endrastera was grown, and had developed a thirst for the occasional skirmishes with hostile mortal races and savage creatures which crossed their settlement from time to time. She honed her skills over the years, gaining both a deep respect for the creatures of the wild, and a pleasure in testing herself against them. The years saw her become attuned to a large variety of weaponry, but her favourite seemed to be the mace.

The millennia inched by, and Endrastera became a seasoned warrior. As the times changed, a new threat emerged to challenge the Kaldorei. Insectoid creatures vied for supremacy over the land. She and her sisters met the threat head on, but the Qiraji proved indomitable. One beast would be slain only for a dozen more to take its place. The tiny contingency desperately needed help, and was in danger of being swallowed.

Runners were sent to the north, and it wasn’t long before troops were amassed. Endrastera’s first encounter with the Druids of the Cenarion Circle left her in awe. She knew of the soldiers who borrowed the forms of feral beasts, but she had never before met one, little less witnessed them in action. She gained a respect for Staghelm, whose command, she felt, was the instrumental force in pushing her people forward to tackle the Silithid aggressors. His daring approach was something she greatly admired. Taking her place among the gathered Circle, she joined her brothers for the nascent beginnings of the War of the Shifting Sands.

The first blow against the Night Elves was the fall of Southwind Village. Sympathising with the Archdruid’s loss, and mourning the many lives already claimed, Endrastera battled on with the desire to deliver vengeance. Even as they were pushed into Tanaris, she fought on with the same dedication, knowing precisely what was at stake were their forces to fall there. Not even the help of the Bronze Dragonflight was enough to fend off the invaders, and she began to lose hope in their success.

The victory was a hard-won one, and by the time Ahn’Qiraj had been sealed, many Night Elves had fallen. Endrastera’s home had been decimated, and she decided to return to her nomadic ways.

Taking up the mantle of mercenary, she based her operations around the Cenarion Hold. Foreign races began to stake their claim in the world around that time, and Endrastera began to work with and around them following the Third War, but she remained bound by her disdain for the Silithids and her love of the land to Silithus. The recent opening of Ahn’Qiraj opened up new avenues of work for the Silithid Hunter, and she gained an interest in assisting with researching the hostile insectoids.

She remains in the southernmost reaches of Kalimdor, tackling the renewed threat and searching for a way to end the Silithids permanently.

Skills and Abilities

Exceptionally skilled with all forms of blunt weaponry, Endrastera is an expert in splitting shells. She possesses tremendous upper-body strength, which allows her to wield large and heavy instruments. Although she favours maces, true to her varied and adaptable nature, she can pick up most anything and make a device of destruction out of it.

Having fought the Silithids for many years, she knows a great deal about the way they live, breed, and most importantly, the quickest way to end them. Surviving in the desert has been her way since birth, so she knows the sands quite well, too.

She’s also a talented blacksmith, and an accomplished armourer. Millennia of experience have augmented her abilities.
