Appearance

Curious is perhaps the best word to describe this young woman's nature. Her head tends to be slightly tilted to one side, her eyes wide and open as she looks you over - though seemingly never looking at prominent features, more that she has a way of looking at things differently than most and thus sees more than many, which can be unnerving to those with something to hide. However, her intentions are always good and some would feel comforted by her gaze.

She isn't remarkably tall, though she isnt short either - her build could be described in a word as enticing. The shape of her body is quite curvy, her waist thin and her hips, while not overly large, curve into her tight, toned posterior.

Her bosom is ample and full for her size and blends seemlessly with the rest of her body and strangely does not disrupt her general apperance.

Her skin is meticulously cared for. Not a blemish or imperfection can be seen, though it is a little pale, some might describe her as having a milky complexion. Her skin has a healthy sheen that somtimes even reflects sunlight.

Golden blond hair tops her head, cascading behind her in a long pony tail. Despite her best efforts some stray strands always come free. Despite her annoyance at what she considers an imperfect coiffure, the loose tresses break up the line of her forehead and offset her features in a delightful fashion.

There is a statuesque quality to her face, a balancing of finely-wrought features. Piercing, ice-blue eyes are offset by long, pink lashes. They bracket a petite nose set between the sloping planes of luscious cheeks, which hang upon high cheekbones. Her face curves along her jawline coming to a delicate chin beneath a pair of sensuous crimson lips, their hue in deep contrast to her otherwise pale skin.

There is a bubbly nature to this person. Her demeanor suggests she may be off to a party or some festive occassion. The cheerful twinkle in her eyes, the smile upon her lips, even the bounce in her step bespeaks an air of excitement, a zest for life, and a keen verve for the world surrounding her. She speaks with a soft voice in dulcet tones that emerge from lips, more often than not, curved with a cheerful grin.

In attire, this lady apparently favors elegant clothing in silvers and golds. The shades nicely compliment her complexion and due to some trick of her bearing the styles manage to be both formal and casual at the same time.

Personality

Elenoriel is as enigmatic as a celestial dragon. She combines what might appear to be a naive 'pink-colored-glasses' view of the world around her with what might be mistaken as a well-travelled, world-weary cynicism into a unique brand of intuitive perception through which she sees through many of her fellow traveller's veils. Her piercing wit is often overshadowed and thus missed by the unwary who see only her joyful, childlike surface. As fierce in battle as she is loveable in peace, Elen is as good a friend as any could desire and an implaccable enemy to those who push her too far, though she prefers hugs to harm and diplomacy to discord. She values life, all life, from the flowers of the fields to the dragons of the skies.

History

  • Birthplace: Real birthplace unknown, Grew up in the outskirts of Goldshire
  • Hometown: Stormwind City

Elenoriel is an orphan, adopted by a family of fishermen who found her left in a basket on their doorstep. Even from an early age it was clear to Elenoriel that she wished to join the priesthood of Light, having found a few old books about the church and their lore as she was exploring her parents attic. Fueled by her strong will and desire to do good she continued her studies on the subject as far as she could, her books only gave Elen a limited view of the church and as such she ventured to her parents and told them of her desire.

As she was their only daughter they where not fond of the thought of parting from Elen, however they saw the glint in her eyes, the burning desire to make a diffrence, to help those that needed her most and finally gave in. She was told she could joind the priesthood when she got older wich she was quite satisfied with and waited patiently.

Seasons came, seasons went and between the ages of thirteen and fifteen she was finally recognized by Bishop Leander and was sent to the Church of the Holy Light, the first thing she did as she arrived was to delve into the pile of books that had been brought to her room in Northshire Abbey, eager to begin her studies. The eagerness of this little Initiate never faded and as such she continued to grow in both knowledge and power, years passed and seasons flew by before Elenoriel was properly initiated into the light and now she lives to serve the church as a Priestess of light.

Leander send her out into the world on various missions to aid those in need of help and to try and bring them into the light that embraced them all, this ofcourse made her travel the realms over. Whilst doing so she strived to learn more about world and as such learning for the first time what it is to be an adventurer. While not travelling or studying she spends most of her time in Stormwind, trying to get to know as many people as possible and to try and help those that wish it.

Preaching about the light is also something she delights in doing, but she never pushes her faith onto others, for faith comes naturally and perhaps by helping people that travel through Stormwind she will open their eyes to the Light.

Church of the Holy light

The Church of the Holy Light can be found just about everywhere on Azeroth. They are based out of Stormwind City where the Church leaders gather in the Cathedral of Light. The Church sends its people all over the world, spreading the wisdom and comfort of the Holy Light. They also do what they can to help people with more practical matters, from building homes to settling family disputes to scaring off enemies. It is all very noble, of course, but that fits with the Holy Light's teachings of making the world a better place and making oneself better by helping other people. The Church has everyone's best interests at heart, and they really do their best to help everyone. It is a religion that is all about making people happy, not to mention a religion whose practitioners show clear evidence of divine blessing.

Even those determined to doubt are forced to admit that the Light grants its followers impressive powers to combat the darkness. Nobody really knows how the Church got its start. For that matter, no one knows when people first discovered the Holy Light — or were discovered by it — either. People started preaching about it at some point, explaining how this great and benevolent force existed and sought out mortal spirits interested in helping others and protecting life in general. The Holy Light is a strange philosophy (it's really more a philosophy than a religion) because it doesn't involve reverence for a person or even a being — the Light is more of a force, really, and honesty and good deeds are more important than money or wine or any other form of sacrifice. There's also a lot of study and contemplation involved, particularly on how to make oneself a better person in order to commune with the Light more completely. They likely had libraries before they had churches, and the one simply grew out of the other. Eventually all those churches started working together, and then wound up with the Church of the Holy Light.
