Del could be considered a gentleman. To the public eye, he is one by the merit of his words and mannerisms. However, in battle he is rather underhanded and savage, always looking for the advantage. He takes losses personally and seeks to amend them. He believes in order above all else, trusting in the rule of law rather than the people.

History

Del was born to a family of Magisters in Silvermoon City. His family had a peculiar tradition of naming all the males with letters found solely in the family name. Thus, he became Del Delamore VII, something he rather despises. From an early age, he was taught to have total respect for the nobility and women in general. He was then taught that magic is the superior art in every shape and form. Del wasn't exactly a happy child. In fact, he grew up to be very bitter and angsty.

Like every teenager, he eventually rebelled against his parents. Unlike most teenagers, he didn't just hang out with people his parents warned him about, try drugs or even dress in ways they despised. He also skipped his father's arcane classes in favor of training with a blade. He found the ultimate way to piss off his parents.

He also learned that he was quite adept with the blade, better than he was with magic. While he proved better with the sword and shield, he preferred the wild swings of the great sword. In fact, he found the people tended to be more fearful of the larger blade than the smaller one; something he realized would give him an edge in battle. His parents, while disliking his choice of melee fighting, hoped he would stick with the sword and shield for one sole reason…

If he was going to go the way of the fighter, he should at least enter the School for Spell Breakers. There, he would train well into the arts of swordsmanship and spell casting, becoming the ultimate mage hunter. However, he said no and went on his merry way of becoming a swordsman. His parents raged at him for decades. Family reunions were a pain for him, as everyone was a magister, except him. He would just sit in the corner and grumble, complaining loudly at his superior health and finer toned body. They just laughed and conjured some drinks and played with fire.

And then Arthas came and killed them all, except Del. To be more specific, they were killed in the Dead Scar by Arthas' forces as the Scourge steamrolled into the Sunwell. Del was off in another elvish camp, awaiting the Scourge forces that never came. When news came of the Sunwell's destruction, Del was worried about one thing: Did his family survive? When he was informed that they didn't, he nodded and quietly walked into the nearest inn. Everyone assumed he was crying over their deaths. Contrary to popular belief, he was instead partying. Clearly magic didn't save them, while his swordsmanship did.

After getting wasted for the first time in his life, he immediately sunk into lethargy. While he wasn't a spell caster, he, like other High Elves, was addicted to the Arcane. So, he just chilled, going back to being angsty. It didn't last long, as Kael'thas gifted his people with two things: How to mana-tap demons and a Naaru. Like all other High Elves in Silvermoon City, he tapped those demons (Not like that) for their Fel energy, forever making his eyes green. He was pumped up and ready to fight. That's when he decided to do what he should have done from the start: Become a Spell Breaker.

His desire to join was more born out of the hate for his deceased family than anything else. He felt cheated that he never got any retribution against them and wanted a way to vent his rage at acceptable targets: enemy spell casters. And that he did, after his training was completed of course. His time spent in the Outland was focused on eliminating magical threats to any group he was assigned with for the day. It even made his day when spell casters summoned allies for him to seize control of.

However, he never went to Quel'Danas to aid the Shattered Sun Offensive against the forces of Kael'thalas. For his own reasons, he opted to return back to Silvermoon to aid in local defense and training of new recruits. His free time was spent securing his family estate and funds, and then promptly selling off what he could for gold and silver. In short, he was rather busy during that time.

Then the Lich King mounted an offensive against the various cities. With that, the campaign in Northrend started, to which Del was sent off to aid. However, he found his uses in Northrend more limited since there were far fewer spellcasters and legions of undead fodder. By the time he was able to get near the necromancer or spellflinger, the rest of the force had already stomped it down along with whatever was protecting it. So, he was relegated to mopping up anything magical. The burning hatred of the Alliance also prevented him from aiding the Argents. So, he focused his efforts on the Dragonblight and Coldarra area. Over all, it was a rather tedious and boring campaign for him.
