Being a devout follower of the Light, Daegen is kind and gentle by nature. He assumes a role of a father figure, wishing to keep his friends on the right path even if they don't agree with him. Daegen is in fact a drinker, however he never gets drunk, not because alcohol doesn't get him drunk anymore but because he chooses not to indulge too much. His reasons for drinking are a combination of emotional issues from his past and needless to say he just likes it as an activity, but it never gets in the way of his life or holds him back. Accepting of all races, even most Horde, he holds little judgment for anyone unless they cause him to be more wary of them as an individual.

Alignment: Lawful Good

History

Daegen was born to two citizens of Sunnyglade, a wealthy and prosperous city. For 20 years he lived as a farmhand before becoming a follower of the Light and joined the Clerics of Northshire to further his knowledge of the Light. For the next few years he studied vigorously, practicing every day when he wasn't busy eating or sleeping. Daegen didn't make many friends while there, he didn't detest any of his fellow clerics but he wasn't much of a social person. After the start of the First War took place, he followed his brothers and their leader Archbishop Alonsus Faol into the heart of the conflict as one of their field medics.

Witnessing first hand what war really meant had changed Daegen entirely. Watching those he called brothers fall around him in a moments notice, never to get back up again, made him realize how fragile humanity can be. However, as resilient as the humans can be in dire times started to give him hope again. After the destruction of their home and the relocation to Lordaeron, he took the time to train as a member of the Order of the Silver Hand, after it was formed by his cleric orders leader and his apprentice Uther Lightbringer. Not for combat purposes to fight but rather to defend those around him. He never wanted anyone to go through the pain and struggling that he went through in the years past.

Daegen did follow his comrades into northern Lordaeron after the Horde forces were defeated in Khaz Modan, lending aid where he could. Time passed and he along with the Order returned to the front lines to face the new Horde assault after the betrayal in Alterac. After the Horde forces were weak, Daegen and his brothers in arms laid their attack on the Blackrock fortress, after the battle was done with Lord Lothar slain leaving Turalyon in command and the Dark Portal destroyed, Daegen returned to the destroyed city of Stormwind to help rebuild it for it's citizens but he slowly called it home.

After the events of the Second War, Daegen layed down his weapon hoping to never see such combat and destruction that he already has. Helping the human race rebuild their lives was his new battle, something he really fought for. He never settled down to raise a family of his own, with no relatives as during the events of the First War his home Sunnyglade was raided he assumed all his loved ones were either dead or slaves to the Orcs during his time in combat, he was afraid to bring new life into the world. A fear that terrible things will happen no matter what he attempted to prevent was enough for him to live a rather lonely life. To fill the void of not having a family of his own any longer he set his life on a path to help anyone and everyone he could, from giving a poor man enough coin to feed his family for the week or prevent a bandit attack on a farmers land.

Years have passed, during the events of the Third War Daegen remained in Stormwind. After the destruction of Lordaeron and the appearance of all the refugees in Stormwind caught his attention. Knowing that all these people are left without a place to call home made him realize that sometimes doing nothing isn't the right thing to do. Daegen set out as a wandering Paladin, not considering himself a member of any regiment. His main goal is to help everyone that resides in Azeroth understand that there are bigger enemies in the world than just the ones across the sea. Setting his issues with the members of the Horde aside has helped him in his life to be more loving to humanity as a whole.
