Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: She wears fairly simple, sensible clothes which cover her legs. Her favorite colors are moss green and silver, and she often wears a white lily tucked behind her ear for ornament. Always has her sword sheathed at her hip.

Other: She's pale-skinned, and prone to sunburns. Her face is oval-shaped, and very expressive: she smiles easily and often. Her left leg and back both have obvious silvery-white scars from when she was burned in the past. They're rather ugly and she tries to hide them with clothes whenever possible.

Personality

Cieldrim is an unabashedly 'good' person, and appears fairly simple to the point of being clueless about the real world. Her happy-go-lucky and friendly nature makes her unsuitable as a political opponent, nor is she particularly imposing as the last member of a noble house. She's much better with informality, even if she -does- know everything she's supposed to in order to operate a House. Her staunch belief in the Light often comes off as bullheadedness, or, worse, as blind dogmatism. As with many born to great wealth, she's so accustomed to it that she feels no need to display her rank through lavishness.

On one hand, she's had a sheltered life as the eldest daughter of House Autumnseeker, but on the other, she's also experienced the destruction of that same House, and served in Northrend as part of the Argent Crusade. She was made an honorary member of House Crystalpine by her cousin Artairis, although she's unable to inherit. She's been living with them long enough to consider them a family - particularly Artairis, whom she's closest with, and treats as a brother figure.

She's interested in most forms of art, especially painting. She's terrible at it, but has a lot of fun being so. Another more fruitful interest is that of enchanting: she's naturally talented, and is currently trying to enchant things with Light. She's an extremely studious person, given to long stints in the library when she thinks nobody'll notice. It would be easy to write this off as magical research, especially when given her House's specialization, but she's more interested in history and politics than magic. What often goes unnoticed is her love for seeing patterns in said history and politics. If left to herself, she makes up all sorts of ridiculous theories to match anything she finds.

Although she's trained as a paladin for no small amount of time, she's not very good at using Light. What she -is- good at is swordplay. One of her favorite pastimes is sparring with Artairis on the practice grounds: usually using practice swords. She's so accustomed to wearing her sword around that she'll sometimes sleep with it still on her belt. Whether intentional or not is anyone's guess. Her magical potential is extremely low compared with most of her House. She's quite acclimatized to cold weather after a stint in Northrend, and often complains that Eversong is too warm.

Her preferences in race are normal, outside of a few strong (but not unjustified) differences. Blood Elves are, of course, the preferred race. She has a mixed dislike and pity for the Forsaken, and rarely associates with them. Trolls are written off as too cannibalistic and primitive to care about, whilst Orcs and Tauren are both of interest due to their strong beliefs in honor. Of the Alliance, she minds Dwarves the least, although they're too boisterous and crude to like. Humans receive some respect for their paladinism, but beyond that, she's resentful towards them. She seems to enjoy the company of Draenei: the morals and philosophies of their race are fascinating to her. Gnomes are strange and inelegant. Her oddest difference is that of her opinion on Night Elves: she sees them as being distant relatives with a key to the Quel'dorei past. They're still enemies, but worthwhile ones.

She has a strange liking for toffee, and is frequently asking the Serynzheri cook to either make some, or - better yet - show her how.

The recent events within House Serynzheri have left her overly-sensitive, and inclined to get 'upset over nothing'. In times of stress, she develops a caustic edge to her normally sweet disposition.

Alignment: Lawful Good.

History

Cieldrim was born as the eldest child of Amalys Aure'neldth and Kerthar Orisamitore (both from extremely wealthy Houses). Although she ended up with a younger brother (Simael) soon after, she received the most attention. She was groomed as any potential heir to a House might be - at least, until her twenty-fifth birthday. This was the point by which any elf with Orisamitore bloodlines was expected to show magic. The date came and went, and Cieldrim remained happily oblivious to her parents' expectations. While she did, after many years, show some proficiency in enchanting, it was plain she didn't have the skill of her younger brother.

Her parents were by no means arbitrary in their decisions. Cieldrim may have been inept in magic, but she had a few other qualities which helped redeem that. Actual combat amongst them. One of her tutors discovered, quite by accident, that she knew more about physical weapons than magical ones. She was granted a trainer - a retired paladin - to teach her swordsmanship and use of Light: a compromise which would let her both practice combat and 'spellcasting'. The girl eagerly took her chance, and even began slipping in her other studies because she cared less for them. Years passed. Things reached an equilibrium. When Cieldrim reached her 90th birthday, her lessons in leading a House became far more intensive, leaving her no time for her favorite hobby.

The Scourge struck near the end of this training. The Orisamitore estate was on the western side of Silvermoon, and several of the House mages bought time for those who fled. The very city had been turned upside-down into chaos, as the protectors of Silvermoon tried to fight off as many of the undead horde as possible. Cieldrim was one of the three Orisamitores to make it out of the northern gates alive. Soon thereafter, one died of blood loss. Cieldrim had tried to heal him, but didn't have enough power to close up all his wounds. As the remaining two traveled around the city for Sunsail Anchorage, they were attacked by a group of Scourge which had broken from the massive force of them. Cieldrim survived, but only because she fled. The other one died there.

In the blur of time which followed, Cieldrim discovered survivors on the perimeters of Silvermoon, and the all-consuming thirst for mana. She, like the others, succumbed and began to feed off fel. The moment she touched the fel energy to her hand, she felt all her power of righteousness and all her beliefs fade. She had corrupted herself willingly and was no longer a paladin.

Her remaining relatives - the Serynzheris - were kind enough to help her back onto her feet. The Orisamitore line and wealth might have been destroyed, but the Serynzheris had the means to rebuild. She was all too eager to make herself useful to them, helping with logistics, tutoring, and all-around camaraderie. Artairis had her legally adopted into the House, and asked her to stay. She was only too happy to comply. At least, until the Sunwell was restored, and the call to Northrend went out.

True to her paladin-esque beliefs, she chose the Argent Crusade over the Horde Expedition. She furthered her training in the Light, her practice of which had gotten quite rusty by that point. She didn't get any better at using the Light, but she helped in any ways possible. The cold, ascetic, and often violent life in Northrend was strangely appealing after being in Eversong most of her life. She stayed for long enough to participate in the Argent Tournament (and be thoroughly whacked by other combatants). When she was serving in the Argent Vanguard, she was severely burnt on her back and one of her legs due to a mishap while defending the Vanguard. She was rendered useless for a fair amount of time, unable to continue scouting Icecrown, or act as a foot solder in the storming of Icecrown Citadel.

She returned to Silvermoon in fairly good shape after the Lich King's death. Ever since, she's been working to assist the House in any ways possible.

Skills and Abilities

By the Light...: Cieldrim's paladinism gives her strength during adversity - and sometimes, the determination to persist long past the point of hopelessness.

The Noble Art of Swordsmanship: She's remarkably skilled with her one-handed blade, especially against single enemies. Considers dueling to be the most aristocratic and perfect of pastimes.

Autumnseeker's Blood: The only way in which her magically-talented lineage shows is her proficiency at enchanting.
