He has served in multiple battles, many of which he has helped win, alongside his brothers, as well as multiple other races.

History

He was born and raised in the Thunderhoof clan, taught to respect nature and all the animals that comes from it. He is a born hunter, and befriended a young cub which the ancestors help him name the cub in a spiritual ritual. The cubs name was Koldai. Koldai accompanied Cathan throughout all of his battles, and all the hunting performed in his teen and mature years. They are bonded now, and will not likely separate any time soon. He was raised by his normal family, a mother, a father, and his brother; Kaldi. When he hit his mature years, he left his tribe to meet other races, and possibly other battles to contribute to.

Cathan and his young companion and pet, Koldai, were walking through the dense forests of Stonetalon when they came across a large green spider, chewing on what seemed to be goblin bones. He put his fingers to his lips, looking at Koldai. The cub nodded, and crouched down, sneaking along the forest path with Cathan, slowly approaching the large spider. He touched his finger to his gun, then pointed it to the spider, motioning towards Koldai, he nodded. Suddenly, the cub darted towards the spider, slashing it across its abdomen. Cathan drew his hunting rifle, silver and polished, already loaded with stone shots. He pulled back a lever at the top, took aim, and shot. The stone shot whizzed past Koldai, and implanted itself straight into the abdomen of the spider. The green spider dropped, thumping against the ground. Cathan whistled, calling Koldai to him. He scratched Koldai behind his ears and draped the spider across his back.

Two nights later, still in Stonetalon, Cathan and Koldai were laying in their hand-built camp, chewing at tough pieces of Windrider meat. Cathan was scratching Koldai behind his ear when he heard a crack. He looked behind him, seeing a dark figure crouching behind a tree stump. He stood up and grabbed his claymore, roaring. The shadow emerged, showing a tall kaldorei, wielding dual daggers. He lashed out, catching Cathan in the ribs, but only barely. Cathan roared, and slashed with his claymore, cutting the kaldorei's hand clean off. He screamed and charged at Cathan, jumping up and coming down powerfully, landing his weighted dagger on Cathan's horn. The horn cracked and broke off, splitting painfully. Cathan screamed and roared in agony as the kaldorei raced off, Koldai sprinting off after him.

Several hours later, Cathan was wrapped up his ribs, after filing down the cracked points in his horn, creating a smooth cut at the end. Koldai was resting after his long chase after the kaldorei. Cathan chewed a piece of meat as he stares down at the ground thoughtfully.

“Is this how all of the kaldorei act? I knew that they would not be friendly, but attacking me in my own camp?” Cathan thought. “I must learn to be careful of these strange creatures, they are far too violent to be trusted for now.” He ate the rest of his meat, and tore off a piece to lay in front of Koldai's tent. He stretched and readied himself for sleep.
