Personality

Alignment: Callith is of the lawful good alignment.

Callith is a kind, generous man in most circumstances, but he is a paladin and thus has no qualms about delivering justice by whatever means. His faith has whittled away the stereo-typical arrogant, haughty demeanor many blood elves are known for; he holds no racist views, for many of the greatest men he's known have been human, and his non-blood elven friend list is long. He is not quick to raise his weapon, for he believes much conflict can be settled with ones mind. He has a soft spot for his pupils, he always enjoys having a squire that he may pass his knowledge to. He often times tries to bring in members of his community that are less fortunate then himself, paying for their training out of his own pocket. He loves his family from afar, for in his opinion they are rather poisonous in their grasping for power and wealth; he hopes to one day have a wife and later a child whom he can pass his knowledge to as well. Callith isn't the power-hungry sort, nor the type to abuse position.

History

Callith Sundancer was born to a wealthy noble family whom actively vied for influence within Silvermoon. His lineage granted him access to the best teachers and tools to become anything he wanted. His father, Magister Szar'Tahn, was a gifted fire mage and carried the stereotypical personality traits of blood elves before they even came into existence. His Mother, Arcanist Linara, was sweet, absent minded, and very intelligent. She was fascinated with the unison of technology and magic, as well as all things astrological and historical. He had a single sibling, a sister named Saressa who was ten years his senior. She was everything Callith wouldn't be, his parent's golden child.

Callith's parents forced tutors and mentors upon him in order to prepare him for the Magister's apprenticeship, but nothing stuck. He showed absolutely no aptitude for the arcane, and more infuriating to his parents: no interest. His favorite times were had at the training grounds with the Spellbreakers and Farstriders, mocking their swordplay and listening to their conversations. He was a boy who seemed to be innately virtuous. He made mistakes, and did bad things as all children do, but he was always truly remorseful and tried to repent. Seeing this innate do-gooder zeal, his father devised a plan to make use of the boy: introduce him to the Holy Light. His father's feigned enthusiasm and subtle coercing had Callith rushing to meet the prerequisites for becoming a novice under the Priests of Quel'Thalas.

So it was that Callith would be inducted into the priesthood as a novice, where he would learn the way of the Holy Light; Because of his father's feigned enthusiasm, he went into it with the idea that he would make his family proud, and bring new sources of prestige to his family. Thus the young man trained relentlessly in the virtues of the faith, he absorbed the teachings like a sponge and excelled at everything the priests could set before him. Those teachings gave him compassion and understanding, a faith to hold as guard against the arrogance and haughtiness of his arcane-inclined family.

Callith progressed from novice to lay priest in good time, eventually moving forward to a full fledged priest operating under the Bishop of Quel'Thalas. The pace at which he advanced in rank was less then impressive to human priests, as the extended lifespans of the High Elves allowed them to pace themselves and truly dwell on all facets of the Holy Light and the positions one gains. This view was impressed upon him by his Elven-priest mentors. It was his desire to have greater interaction with the other races, so when the opportunity came he leapt...

Callith had already moved his residence to the Northshire Abbey when the first war came. It was a deep desire of his to broaden his horizons by interacting with the other races (Which his father strongly objected, and even once threatened to cut him off) more in depth. When the war came, it pained Callith to see the carnage of actual battle, but it fortified his resolve to do all he could to support and not without reward; for when the residents of Stormwind and the outlaying communities fled to Lordaeron, and the first war came to an end, Callith was given recognition for his prowess as a wielder of the Holy Light. When Archbishop Alonsus Faol formed the Order of the Silver Hand, Callith was eager to join, but failed to make the initial five, instead he was awarded the Valor Medal of the First War and inducted into the Clerics of Northshire.

Callith spent his time in and around the City of Lordaeron during that time, honing his abilities with weaponry under the tutelage of Knights, determined to join The Order. It was a throwback to his younger years, bringing back memories of sparring with the noble Farstriders and other soldiers. It exhilarated him, and made him realize his true calling..and that he wasn't satisfied with simply being a priest; he wanted to be on the front lines.

Callith was more then prepared when The Second War came. It was the first time the Alliance had full support from all members and with this new-found strength they pushed back and crushed the Horde. They destroyed the portal and enslaved all the Orcs whom didn't make it through.

When the accusation from the High Elves flared up against the Humans leadership abilities, they, for all intents and purposes abandoned the Alliance, while Alleria Windrunner and her elven rangers remained loyal to the Alliance High Command. Callith remained amongst the Order to aid in the reconstruction of the Abbey and to further enhance his abilities, for while he was a very talented Light Wielder, his weaponry skills lacked just as the Clerics of Northshire; so a symbiosis was formed between them and the members of the Knights. The clerics and Callith aided the Knights in bettering their abilities with the Light, and the Knights aided the former with their combat abilities.

Callith was finally recognized for his dutiful service following the second war. The Archbishop reformed the Clerics of Northshire into the Brotherhood of Northshire due to the heavy loss of clerics during the war, for most had little to no combat skills, and many in the front lines were in need of healing. For six years Callith had been performing his duties amongst the clerics, and in his free time he honed his weapon skills, while spending every copper on piecing together a decent set of armor for whatever conflict would come, and it paid off. While his brothers were recieving their training in weaponry, and in turn training knights in the Holy Light, Callith was admitted into the Order of the Silver Hand.

Callith had been made a lieutenant when the option of one of two assignments were offered to him: Return to Quel'Thalas to perform regular duties, or join High General Turalyon for the Alliance Expedition through the Dark Portal. He chose home; a regret that would haunt him for many years to come.

When Callith received word in Quel'Thalas that the Dark Portal was destroyed, but the expedition was unable to make it back through he began doubting his decision to return home and wish he had been there to serve with Turalyon.

Not long after Callith was recalled to Stormwind to aid The People's Militia with the growing Defias issue, one he felt could have been avoided if the Stonemason's guild would have been compensated fairly for their labor.

Callith did as ordered, aiding in a ever growing Defias issue as news of skirmishes, the freeing of dragons, and decimation of orcs drifted past his ears, causing him to grow ever weary of having to help babysit men fighting an unjust battle. If he had known that this was simply the silence before the storm, he would have been more happy with that situation.

When the Third War lurked on the horizon, Callith, along with the other knights did all they could to fight back the ravages of the plague, but it was for nothing it seemed, for nothing could stop it. When Arthas called for the Order to be disbanded, Callith was crushed, for those men were his brothers, their fight was one for truth, justice, and the protection of all that is good. The Light that filled him dimmed with the thought that the Prince could order such, and later, kill the man Callith believed to be the most righteous of them all, Uther the Lightbringer. Even disbanded, the Knights did all in their power to heal and help the people of the land. And though the third war came to an end with the destruction of the World Tree and the demons, Callith's troubles were still not over, for at the end of it all he came to learn that his homeland was all but destroyed.

Callith returned home to find racism was at an all time high, and it seemed a weakness came upon him with the destruction of the Sunwell. This was the first time Callith had been home in a long time and he was greeted by his family whom still lived (mostly), and was immediately instructed in the ways of battling the magic addiction - by feeding off fel energies. He would later learn that there was another way, meditating or remaining close to moon wells, but by then the fel energies had already turned his steel blue eyes into sickly green. He soon came to feel the loss of his powers truly, and he refused to join Lady Liadrin in sapping the power from M'uru, the Naaru. He moved along the boarders of his home with his head hung and entered a state of depression as his parents and the newly found Blood Knights attempted to coerce him into taking the powers of the Naaru. His mind began playing tricks upon him, as part of him tried to reason with the other that by not taking the powers of the Naaru, he was actually doing harm to his people, but he resisted the fel-influenced thought and continued to move about along the outskirts of society. Callith eventually headed south to fight the undead with the Argent Dawn, finding purpose amongst them.

When the Shattered Sun Offensive was formed, Callith never officially joined, but pledged himself to the cause, for in his mind he would always be a Knight of the Silver Hand. Battles were faught and won, and eventually his betraying prince was defeated, stopping him from summoning his master into the world. After this glorious event the waters of the Sunwell were purified by the Naaru and then Callith's powers returned.

Callith's spirits were raised incredibly after that, his powers were restored and his faith still unshakable. It was a time of elation for the Paladin. He never joined the ranks of the Blood Knights, though still his parents tried to force him into this. His heart was not for it, instead he ventured to the Plaguelands and more specifically to Light's Hope Chapel where he would return to the ranks of the Argent Dawn. Standing with them against the undead of the region.

Callith had stood stunned for but a moment when the Battle of Light's Hope Chapel raged around him, but he fought valiantly beside his comrades and superiors. When the battle ground to a halt, with Tirion holding the Ashbringer and the Lich King and his minions fleeing, a tear of hope and pride dropped down his dirty face. Then Tirion announced the revival of The Silver hand, and it's merge with the Argent Dawn. Highlord Darion Morgrain then pledged his knights to the battle against the Lich King and with a common cause, the Argent Crusade and the Ebon Blade formed an alliance: The Ashen Verdict.

Callith learned that both the Alliance and the Horde had heard the news of what happened and rallied their armies and allies to take the fight to Arthas, right to the shores of Northrend and expanded out at a rapid rate, clearing a path for the Ashen Verdict to siege Icecrown Citadel. Due to his continued and unfaltering commitment to good and justice over the past few years, he is given a short respite. He used the leave time to return home to visit his family, a trip he would later feel wasted. All was well in the beginning, his parents were proud of their son and his accomplishments (outwardly). His siblings doted on him, showing him around the steadily refurbished Silvermoon and to their friends. Upon his departure to Northrend, he expressed his desire to attempt to (re)join the Order of the Silverhand once the Lich King was killed. His father violently disapproved, lashing out at him with his staff. After yanking the staff from his father and sending it flying a half a dozen yards, his father threatened to disown him. He did not object- simply leaving Silvermoon.

Callith returned to Northrend and his unit in time to aid in preparations for the assault on Icecrown Citadel, The Ashen Verdict battled into Icecrown, secured its position and began it's development of Saronite equipment, which would give the allies the added strength for the push into the Citadel . When the time came, Callith was on the front lines with his comrades, fighting the monstrosities within the Citadel, carving a path for the would be heroes to strike at the Lich King himself. When they pushed through each area of the citadel, their position grew stronger, allowing Highlord Tirion Fordring and those selected warriors to strike at him with their full strength. Callith was but another rank and file soldier sent in to draw the enemy away from the important conflict, but it was a task he was willing to die for, but whether through luck, skill, or faith, he survived.

Callith survived and sought out to do what he informed his family of: To rejoin the reformed Order of the Silverhand.
