History

The childhood of a Wildhammer is a simple one, raised in the mountains and in a crib sucking on whiskey with a gryphon feather ball to toss about. Simply adorable by dwarven standards. Buran was raised as a WIldhammer ranger and tracker, he as many wildhammer was immediatly introduced to gryphons in order to secure his innate love of them. Gryphons are amazing creatures and are long lived like dwarves, and Buran as was tradition was paired with a young gryphon at a young age himself.

He would train and live with this Gryphon for the coming years and the wars to come, it is still with him. His gryphon is the valiant and viscous breed that is built heavy and muscular. It would help shape his life in the years to come as it would save him from death several times. Gryphons are not just mounts or beasts, they are brothers and sisters, friends and even sometimes foes.

The Second war was a brutal one. The Wildhammers did battle alongside the Alliance to stop the brute strength of the Horde. Buran was playing the role of not only warrior but gryphon rider. He based his life around his gryphon and as the war was ending Buran decided to cross into Outland with the other dwarves that did so. For many years he and the others did battle in the shattered world, and he was seeing little relief; but battle skill was a plenty.

The dark sweeping canyons and countless enemies the Alliance remnants had in outland were never enough to crush them. Buran and many others lived on as veteran warriors; but as the years passed, there almost was despair. They were alone in this broken world fighting everything.

Then one day the Portal opened and that changed. The war for Outland against Illidan was in full swing and Buran was up for battle to finally get it all over with. But soon into the war Buran was mortally wounded and was put on bedrest for several weeks. While in bed he heard that victories were being won, Buran decided that after his stay in bed was over. He would not fly against the Illidari.

His wish did not come. He was convinced by other riders to take wing and ride the fel-wind against the demons and beastly creations of the enemy. And he fought again. Still hardening himself with a tough battle prowess, but never losing himself to it. He always preferred a brew and a hike into the mountains. But as he very well knew those days were over.

The Illidari were defeated then soon later the war against Arthas would begin, before that though, he took himself back to Aerie Peak and rested, getting in tune with Azeroth once again and filling up on mountain air and Wildhammer hearth made brews.
