Skills and Abilities

  • Well-muscled - Borvin’s heavily sculpted body possesses a large amount of strength that he often displays in combat wielding large weapons made for Orcs and sometimes Tauren. He can lift a great amount of weight for a man and has been known to do so when in need of extra coin for his travelling pouch.
  • Rage - Since he was a boy he has experienced fits of rage where his strength was known to increase greatly and as he grew into a large warrior they quickly became blackout periods where the bloodlust takes hold and combat senses is all that remain. His mind drifts into a fight or flight state heavily falling on the side of survival.

Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: He wears his battle equipment though it is not much. Usual clothing includes linen or casual garb that one might find on a simple man. He prefers furs and leathers over metals for mobility in combat and life alike.

Other: Borvin’s body is very large for a Human, not the only of its kind but unique all its own. The large man’s body stands a towering six feet, ten inches. His back and shoulders are heavily muscled and broad from wielding weapons made for Orcs and Tauren at a very young age. It is safe to say that most of him is heavily muscled from calf to neck in fact. His freakish height is not unheard of among Humans though rare. Some of the more medically inclined students of the body and anatomy call his condition Gigantism, It allows for a very imposing foe in enclosed spaces. Borvin’s body is laced with whipping marks and flail wounds that have healed very poorly leaving several large scars across his back from his former Master’s educational lessons.

  • Gigantism: This is the over production of a Growth Hormone within Borvin's body that has caused him to grow rapidly and above even the tallest of average men. However it does have it's drawbacks. Such as, Borvin has broken several bones in the process of growing from growing far faster then his body naturally would allow.

Personality

With a good head atop his shoulders and a heavy trust in the warrior’s way of honor and kinship Brovin trusts in steel and hard work over most all other things. He is quick to distrust magic and the users of them. One may call his direct approach rude or barbaric in nature but when one is raised in slave pits and arenas most of their lives it becomes the fastest way to resolve most issues or inquiries. Borvin cannot simply be called good or evil. He falls heavily in the grey area, if killing a good person means the safety of a hundred others he would weigh the price carefully; but still weight it. Though he actively seeks out to destroy devils and fiends of both man and monster should one prove useful to a cause he may aid it in its travels or adventures. He has grown accustomed to the sell sword lifestyle over the last year of women, coin, and booze but his fighting spirit comes first over all else. If something bothers him he is quick to meet the problem with fist and axe alike.

History

Borvin was born into a simple life as a boy. He was given a loving Mother who was a seamstress in Stormwind, and an honorable Father who had just begun to serve as a soldier in the Brotherhood of the Horse’s lower ranks. Borvin’s birth was difficult for his Mother as he was not your average sized boy; the doctors could not explain his exceedingly large size or weight but attributed it to one of the many defects that children can sometimes be born with. After his birth Borvin, his Mother, and his Grandfather on his Mother’s side all moved north leaving Stormwind in hopes of escaping the conflict that befell Azeroth as the Horde emerged waging war across the land. Borvin’s Father never returned from combat.

Once Borvin’s Mother and Grandfather reached their destination in the northern mountains of Alterac they began looking for work. During this time Borvin’s Mother caught the attention of a few sellswords who had travelled there looking for Merc work on protection details. After turing down numerous courting passes and a few lewd attempts on her woman hood Borvin’s Grandfather stepped in killing one of the sellswords which earned him a fated end at one of the other men’s blades. They allowed Borvin and his Mother to live but in the quiet of night after burying the old man the sellswords stole Borvin as payment for their missing member. Heart broken and grieving Borvin’s Mother made her way to Lordaeron seeking aid but by that time it was far too late. The vile men had set sail for southern lands and new shores with Borvin as their claimed prize to hopefully sell for good coin once they reached their destination.

After reaching their sailing point the mercenaries sold Borvin to another ship of sea fairing pirates. It was his strange size and weight that caught the pirate Captain’s eye, growing up working in the lower bowels of the ship heaving some of the smaller crates from raids and working the hard deck jobs quickly granted the boy a man’s strength. This did not go unnoticed neither did his fast growing size and weight, even though Borvin was merely a boy of twelve years he looked to be a young man in his later teenage years nearing eighteen or nineteen for his size. Borvin remained on the ship for a few more years before actually being allowed to leave. Once they made port in Tanaris the Captain took Borvin teaching him a few basic fist fighting maneuvers and tossed him into the fighting pits of the Cartels at the age of eighteen. He barely managed to win the first few as he was unaware how to actually fight but his temper quickly made up for any lacking knowledge. Seeing an opportunity for some extra coin in a local card game the Captain foolishly bet Borvin’s slavery bonds against an Orc and lost; though he quickly protested further more losing his life in the process. The Orc and his band of thugs quickly gathered the freakishly large Human boy and made him their personal combatant for the raiding party showing the boy how to fight with the ferocity he had displayed in previous bouts. Borvin was told he had to remain in the slave pits as the Orcs money dog or be put to death. It was while in the pits of Tanaris and the surrounding desert arenas that Borvin made a name for himself. Borvin’s body began to change and grow again as he wielded the large Orcish clubs and axes given to him by the Orc boss. It was over the next few years that his height and weight nearly doubled. His massive frame packed on muscles that were very uncommon to see on a man, they were more accustomed to Orcs but with how the Orc boss was raising Borvin it was no surprise.

During one of his bouts in Tanaris Borvin’s temper claimed him and he killed the combatant, it was the first time he had killed a man. It weighted heavy on the young lad’s mind and continues to trouble him to this day, but it let the bareknuckle underworld of the slave pits know that it was time for him to move on. The Orc took Borvin to the Arena where the true warriors fought, Gladiators. Having heard of a large slave man that possessed impressive strength for a Human the Arena’s did not deny them entry once they saw Borvin. Even wrapped in chains the large man was an impressive sight to behold. They quickly whipped Borvin into shape as those in power took notice, his training was intensified by the Orc’s harsh flail and bull whip and his bloodlust sated with each kill in the Arena. Now twenty four years of age Borvin had killed nine men, a Raptor, and a Bear. Watching his last bout with the Bear was an elderly man who approached the Orc to purchase Borvin, at first the Orc was reluctant but two large coin sacks prompted an easy sale. And thus his time in the Arena had ended neither a Champion nor a Legend simply a whisper of rumor about a giant.

The elderly man introduced himself as Creus Cordone a Magus of Stormwind, he offered Borvin a deal. This was a new turn for the young man who was use to harsh whips and a brutal lifestyle. Creus offered him freedom and knowledge in return Borvin need only accept. He was stunned to think such kindness existed in the world, hesitant he accepted. Over the next couple years Borvin travelled, studied, and learned as much as he could from Creus while acting as his personal guard on long ventures. The world was a shockingly new place for him to experience and he lacked the skills required to navigate it at first, luckily the old man had fulfilled his bargain. Finally after searching a few random areas of the Eastern Kingdoms, Creus granted Borvin his freedom sending the man out into the world with a smile and a kind handshake. Borvin now adventures the world seeking to find his place among the free people of Azeroth and hopes to one day perhaps join the legends of old.
