Personality

Alignment: Lawful Neutral

As a paladin of The Holy Light of Creation, Borislav has a strict set of ethics and morals that he follows to the dot. These morals however, permit him to do the outrageous if it is inevitable, such as slay an innocent if killing that man would mean saving an entire village, or possibly even torturing an enemy assassin for information.

Aside from this though, Borislav is a kind man, his many years aboard the Oshu'gun and innumerable planets showing him the value of friendship in harsh troubling times. He tries to garner as many close allies as he can, but that's not to say that he is unbiased when it comes to race. Having witnessed the slaughter of both his father and sister on the wilds of Draenor, Borislav holds an anger for orcs that he tries to keep hidden. In his mind, giving in to the power of the legion was a sign of weakness that makes them not quite equals as far as Borislav is concerned. This holds true for the Blood Elves as well, albeit on a smaller scale as they themselves only sabotaged The Exodar, and didn't murder eighty percent of the Draenei population...

History

Borislav was born in a time of peace on a planet not unlike Azeroth, with no sign of corruption from the Burning Legion. However, as always, the Draenei's Eredar brothers found them, and assaulted the peaceful planet. The whole of the Draenei race trudged onward to the Oshu'gun, where they traversed the Nether in their trans-dimensional ship in search of a new planet. For years the moved from world to world, and as the years dragged on, so did Borislav's child hood.

From the day he was able to start his schooling, he showed an astonishing craving for knowledge at such a young age. This curiosity is eventually what lead him to seek the two greatest things in his life to this day; The technology given to the Draenei by the Naaru, and The Light which goes hand in hand with it. He began to tinker as often as possible, cutting down the edges of crystals to perfect angles, at the same time handing the newly created power cores to the less fortunate so they could sell them for money.

As Boris neared adulthood, his family began to usher him toward the path of the light even further, so much so that tinkering almost fell by the wayside. His studies in the devout took up nearly all of his time, and for a while, his jewel crafting kit, and technician's tools began to gather dust...

This went on for quite some time, until the day that Borislav took up a job at the orphanage in the Oshu'gun for the homeless children that the Legion had left behind or forgotten to kill. He began to work on Holographic Emitters for the children's enjoyment, and Innoculation Crystals for when no caretakers who wielded the light were present at the orphanage.

This was a good time for Broislav, and it was even better when the Draenei finally landed on Draenor. It seemed that they would be free of the Legion forever, and as such, Borislav left his home in the Oshu'gun, and started anew in Shattrath. He lived here for some years, helping in the new orphanage founded in the city, but he longed for a simple life now that the flight from the Legion was over. He sold his home, and packed up his equipment, moving to a smaller house on the outskirts of Telaar.

He traded some of his simpler devices with the brown-skinned orcs in Nagrand, such as Innoculation crystals for the sick, but still feared giving them the greater technology that they had. His fear was well justified, for the orcs would soon become tainted by the Fel overlords that the Draenei had been running from for so long.

As the orcs began their assaults, Borislav ran back to Shattrath as fast as he possibly could. He brought as many of his Data Crystals as he could, knowing the he may very well never return to his home in Telaar. When he reached the capitol city, the Draenei made his way to the orphanage, where he began to round up the children with the aid of the other patrons and matrons. As the orcs began their attack on the city, the group followed Velen into the Zangarmarsh.

When the Tempest Keep arrived, a hope sparked in the hearts of the Draenei people. Most of their friends and families had been slain by the Fel orcs, and they all needed a glimpse of hope. The now-thinned Draenei race made it's way as a near-whole to the Tempest Keep where they boarded the Exodar.

As the machine stated up, the Draenei seemed to be saved, but soon the vector coil began to malfunction... The ship shook, and all was seemingly lost. In preparation for the crash, Borislav brought all of the children into a singly cryo-core where they could go into stasis. He himself was one of the final Draenei to get into a pod, and not a moment too soon. Within minutes after going into stasis, the ship crash landed on Azuremyst Isle. His own Core had the misfortune of being shaken apart, each individual Stasis Pod being separated from the main ‘cell'.

For weeks Borislav trekked through the forests, and along the coast, searching for the serial codes that belonged in his core. He found nearly all of the orphans, but realized that some had fallen deep to the ocean floor, where they would unknowingly begin to grow, and eventually die... Their whole lives feeling like nothing. The thought enraged him, and on his way back through the island, he fumed. Thoughts of the children he could not save running through his mind. That was when he encountered the first of the Blood Elven Bandits. It was attempting to open up a stasis pod which seemed to have malfunctioned. It had not open when it crash landed, but that did not mean all was lost... Borislav charged the bandit, and dispatched it with a quick blow to the ribs, followed by a crack over the head a moment later.

When a scouting party found Borislav hunched over the pod, attempting to use his knowledge of the devices to use it, they ran over and began to help him. He opened the pod, to reveal a dehydrated corpse... When the pod had malfunctioned, it ceased to sustain the obviously young man. This drove Borislav further into a fit of depression and rage, to the point that he had to move from the new Draenei ‘mainland'. He made his way to Darkshore, where he stayed at the inn for some time.

Hearing of the scourge, and how they were the spawn of the Legion, Borislav suited up and made his way to the far reaches of Northrend. He battled alongside the Alliance there, and to his distaste, the orcs and blood elves when he finally found the Argent Tournament. He aided in the first push on Icecrown Citadel, but found that he would be more useful healing the wounded. He was on the outskirts of the massive stronghold when the Lich King fell, tending to a wounded gnome.

He soon moved back to Darkshore, after the year away, his feelings of loss and regret had diminished a fair amount. He purchased a small Night Elven home there, and to this day still owns it. He does however travel this world (and Draenor) from time to time, leaving the simple town in search of greater things. It was during one of these campaigns that Boris stumbled upon Booty Bay... A town full of filth, temptation, and disgust. One thing however, stood out; The booze. Having not ventured past vodka, the new influx of liquor drove the Draenei to alcoholism. He ventured from town to town soon after, finding new drinks to drink, and new brews to... Well, brew, once he returned home. Darkshore has been rather deprived of it's patronly Draenei however, as he is still traveling the Eastern Kingdoms, adding brews to his book of recipes to spread to the world over.

Skills/Abilities

Tempted to Temperance: Borislav's liquor intake can severely inhibit his ability to use the Light, if not simply for the fact that it's harder to stay under control while under the influence, then because Boris does see it as somewhat of a ‘sin' to get drunk past a certain point. His faith wavers, and even if he's enjoying himself, cracks of doubt begin to spread across an already fractured wall.

Alcoholics (Not So) Anonymous: As his skill progresses, and time moves on, Boris will be able to go from brewing the most simplistic of ales, to mixing and matching the most interesting and unheard of herbs in his drinks to create profound, if not amazing effects. He will follow the course of the average alchemist, as far as abilities of these potions goes, going from apprentice upward. In addition, he will be able to brew the occasional liquor mentioned in-game, or several of the more applicable brews from the RPG Books listed for Brewmasters.
