History

James Blanchard was born in Darrowshire to a simplistic man and a simplistic woman. James was ostracized as a child and grew into that of a recluse. Blanchard's favorite possession was a pocket watch his father had given him when he was young. When Blanchard was not reading various books he could buy or borrow he would spend his time taking the watch and putting it back together, which is where he first got his interest in engineering.

Upon the advent of the First War James was largely oblivious to it, he was living alone in a hilltop cottage, was somewhat of a town exile for dabbling in autopsy out of a morbid curiosity and rarely went into town and even more rarely would he talk to anyone other than farmers so he could get food, he found out about the First War about a week after it had ended, after learning of other worldly invaders destroying one of the great cities James became paranoid, and began looking to defense for himself.

During the Second War Blanchard met a Gnome just as paranoid as him, this Gnome, Victor Spindlegrip. Victor was James' mentor of sorts, he would talk of schematics and designs constantly and Blanchard would listen to his every word. Victor eventually began thinking Blanchard was going to murder him, Victor being a psychopath threw himself off a cliff so Blanchard would not have a victory.

Blanchard was saddened by Victor's death because he was Blanchard's only friend at the time. Blanchard continued his studies until the out break of the Third War, which Blanchard caught full word of. He began trying to learn defense for himself. Blanchard died when he was trying to recalibrate Victor's rifle, which was designed to explode unless properly done, a security mechanism of Victor's.

Blanchard arose three weeks later, his corpse already heavily decayed. Under the Lich King's control, Blanchard ran about with other risen corpses and made other people into risen corpses, or food. As the Lich King's power began to wane over the Undead of Lordaeron Blanchard began regaining memories of his past life and when he was completely free recalled his home in Darrowshire, to which he returned and retrieved his pre-mortem belongings; some books and his father's pocket watch.

James Blanchard saw nowhere else to turn, followed Sylvanas and worked with Forsaken forces for a few years. As he spent time building Blight Cannons and repairing sewage systems in Undercity Blanchard realized how much he enjoyed companionship, something he had missed out on during life. During the times James was not building anything he took to studying more heavily into anatomy and medicine. Through his reading Blanchard hatched the idea that it was theoretically possible to take his heart, brain, and spine, implant it in a mechanical suit of armor and live on through that, as a better version of a forsaken, which is an idea that he pursues tirelessly.
