Appearance

Normally Becca will be seen wearing a black and blue cloth shirt and pants. She tries to dress like a commoner to avoid drawing attention to herself while traveling. She replaces this outfit with dark leathers when actually stalking an enemy or moving in for an assassination. The only thing that's consistent is her weapon of choice, a simple iron rapier, light and quick.

Personality

Rebecca is a tactician of sorts. She knows her enemy well having spent countless hours studying The Church of Light and the Scarlet Crusade, not to mention the days spent stalking targets before eliminating them. She doesn't mind playing the long game, either lulling her opponents into a false sense of security or wearing them down slowly, so long as she gets to deliver the final blow. However, Azeroth's state due to the current war has added a sense of urgency to everything. Existence may be winding down to the final hour and that's enough to make anyone a bit nervous. The pressure of a possible end date has put Rebecca on edge; she's making more missteps than normal and it frustrates her that she's getting anxious.

After joining the Cult of the Forgotten Shadow Rebecca became a zealous Undercity loyalist. While she currently won't attack a member of the Horde openly without reason she believes only in the supremacy of the Forsaken. Ultimately only the dead can ascend and life on Azeroth will be replaced by the undead. It's almost as if existence after death was the next evolutionary step to her. On occasion she will form a friendship with Blood elves due to the close relationship the Dark Lady has with Silvermoon, however her dominant belief is that once Undercity is strong enough it needs to break ties with all life to better conquer.

History

After Rebecca's birth her mother became very sickly. She passed away only days later, leaving Rebecca to be raised by her father and grandfather. She spent her early life working on farmland her father rented from the Newells, a wealthy Lordaeron family. The Newells were not the kindest of people but so long as Rebecca's father paid on time there were no problems. It was hard work, but life was not unpleasant. Rebecca's grandfather, crippled from his time fighting in the First War, would often tell her stories from his time serving as a soldier. The world outside her little farm was vast, filled with monsters and adventures, and she was committed to one day leaving Lordaeron to explore it.

When Rebecca grew a little older she convinced her grandfather to start teaching her swordsmanship. The plan was to get good enough to sign up for Lordaeron's army. As a soldier she'd be able to travel and while fighting would be her life at least she could send the money she made back home to better the life of her father and grandfather. To incorporate her training schedule Rebecca's father let her take time off from the fieldwork. He was certain that the money and distinction she could get as a soldier could lead to a better life than he could give her. So he told her to train hard and make her family proud.

Of course, things were not to go as planned. As Rebecca spent more time training her father had a harder time meeting the rent. He wouldn't tell her or her grandfather when there were problems, sure that he could make the deadline as always. When he finally couldn't one year he borrowed money and the next year he found himself in debt and without enough crops to pay what he was going to owe. Though he was ashamed he told Rebecca and her grandfather what happened. Knowing that her family risked losing the farm if she didn't do something soon Rebecca went to the city and made a deal with the Newells. She became a sellsword for them, agreeing to work off her family's debt.

Though it didn't take long for her to pay back the Newells, Rebecca continued to fight as a sellsword. They money was easy and the job gave her the freedom she always wanted, often taking trips wherever she was needed. Eventually Rebecca was doing the dirty work for corrupt nobles and greedy schemers. She was a disgrace in her grandfather's opinion, sullying their family's name with her illicit activities. But all he had were words; he might as well have said nothing in the face of all the money she was making and more importantly the freedom she had gained.

A few months later the Plague of Undeath made its way to Lordaeron. Rebecca died and was raised just days after contracting it, joining the mindless mass called the Scourge as it ravished the land. When she regained her will she gladly fought under the Dark Lady's ranks as a scout. Awakening as a Forsaken was a shock but things were moving too quickly for her to linger on what was lost. Instead she focused on what was gained by her transformation, a new existence. She embraced this new reality and took it as a sign that there must be greater purpose to her life than to simply live and die a mercenary. After Undercity was established she joined the Forsaken offensive fighting against the Scarlet Crusader stronghold in Tirisfal.

During her time amongst the other Forsaken fighting the Scarlets she learned about and converted to the Forgotten Shadow. It seemed fitting, a new religion that matched her certainty that she was meant for more. She quickly became devout. There was nothing more freeing than a philosophy that proclaimed with time and effort one could become a god. As she grew more skilled in combat her superiors in the Cult suggested she joined the Lightslayers.

Training was hard, not just on the body but the mind. Once Rebecca dedicated herself to becoming a Lightslayer life became far more solitary. She had to leave Tirisfal for long missions, often not returning for months and having to spend her time doing nothing but watching her target. She often missed being with her own kind and being able to socialize freely instead of wandering silently without companions. Hearing how often the Forsaken were slandered by her targets made her grow even more contemptuous of all life. Even in Horde territory the Forsaken were no friends. It was hard to be ostracized even by those who you called allies. She grew fed up with "breathers" as a whole, till eventually her hatred of them started feeding into elitist views about the Forsaken and their place in the world.
