Appearance

Usual Garments/Armor: She's mostly seen in a dress or with some kind of skirt on, though she does wear pants at some times as well. It mostly depends on how she's feeling that day.

Other: She's always seen with her glasses, and her body seems to be built in an hourglass-like shape. A rather...large hourglass. Her hair also reaches down to around the bottom of her back, almost touching her rear.

Personality

Avira is known by few to be the one that generally likes to stay to herself, which is somewhat true...if she doesn't know many people she's around. Whenever she's surrounded by friends, or is alone, she can be fairly hyper. While she's generally kind, there are times where her mood-swings butt in and somewhat twist her usual way of dealing with things, turning her into a slightly mean individual. It only lasts for a few moments however. Around the presence of males that happen to be very muscular, she finds herself a mess, unable to think straight.

History

The surprise child. This is what Avira was known as by her parents and their friends. She was born in Northshire to parents that had been at around the mid point of their lives, a time where many thought it wasn't possible to have children. Even with all of this, she had a relatively normal childhood. She began practicing magic at a young age, and at first she was interested in fire based spells...but that changed. It was one day when she was around the age of twelve, she was in class one day practicing when she got to witness a friendly duel between two magi. One was specialized in fire based spells, while the other was specialized in ice based spells. Though the latter of the two lost the duel, Avira had decided right then and there that she wanted to take the path of frost instead.

And so she trained everyday, putting her heart into her training and studies. She was one of the few that had decided to learn and get specialized in spells dealing with ice, but it was proven through the lessons that she herself was a fast learner. Her duels mostly went in her favor, though there were some that simply had a better grasp on them than her. This only fueled her more, and drove her to eventually one of the top ones in her classes.

It was some day after she turned fifteen that her parents passed away of natural causes. On their deathbeds, she swore to them that she wouldn't let up on her studies, that she would do them proud in any way that she could. She sat there through their final moments, and it was not once that she ever regretted it. After they had passed away she was taken in by her brother, who had been in his late twenties at the time. He was married and had already had two children with his wife, his family was more than happy to take her in while she continued learning.

Around her twenty-first birthday she officially finished her training, she had successfully been able to summon an elemental...but not a regular water elemental. She instead summoned one that seemed to be more akin to an ice elemental, his name being Maelstrus. She bonded with him afterwards, even when he was doing his best to make the least amount of contact with her that he could, while still helping her. Eventually she grew on him, and he shared some of her hyper personality. Avira decided to take on lessons with blades not long after finishing her previous training. It wasn't long that she found she was a natural with blades, and brushed through the training after around a year and a half.

One day, her brother came to her with a staff that he created himself, his wife had enchanted it to amplify the strength of Avira's magic slightly. Filled with happiness, she accepted it and never let it out of her sight. Since it was fairly large, she used her magic to make it appear as a regular stick when it wasn't in use, the name of her brother being engraved on it. She left after receiving this, saying her goodbyes before heading out into the world, using what she learned to help any place that she could.

It was one day in Stormwind that she ran into a rather charming man...she found herself head over heels in love with him. She had yet to have a relationship with anyone, so she was a bit awkward when it came to approaching him about her feelings. He, much to her surprise, said he too felt the same way. And so the two got together, spending around a year with each other. She brought as much love as one person could have into the relationship, but...something didn't seem right about the whole thing. The man did show some emotion, but the emotions didn't seem right. Avira was blinded by her own love to see this, and wasn't able to see anything that happened coming...

At the last of that year, she found out she was expecting. She herself was happy about it, even if it caught her by surprise. The same couldn't be said about her lover, however. As soon as she found out, she rushed to him and gave him the news she had just learned. After she spoke to him, he simply laughed at her. He then spilled the true reason for him being with her...simply to 'screw around' with someone. He never did have any feelings towards her, and he never was going to. She was only able to sit there in disbelief for a long time afterwards, and he simply left her that day. She was in an emotional wreck after that, not knowing what to think or what to do. It was that situation that seemed to trigger something in her head, and she hasn't quite recovered from it emotionally. That was also when she decided to do something that took her mind off of that situation completely, which was exploring. Exploring and practicing inscribing, two of the things she'd wanted to do for a while...but couldn't. The only thing that halted her exploring was the Cataclysm, which happened not long after that terrible day. She can now be seen exploring once more, generally sticking to herself. Sometimes, however, she can be seen talking to Maelstrus as she explores...

Skills and Abilities

• Cryomancer - She is very well trained in the use of spells dealing with ice.

• Swordsmanship - She has learned a good deal in the use of blades, ranging from one handed blades to daggers.

• Maelstrus! - She has successfully been able to summon an ice elemental.

Inscription and Tailoring: Over her travels, she's been able to learn both trades, though she is by no means a master of either.
