Appearance

When armored, Attara is a mighty sight; plate, chain, and leather envelop large, muscular arms and a very powerful core, all refined over lengthy periods of time in said platemail. She wears traditional silver armor with bronze and gold trim, as many in the Argent Crusade do, a dark headdress adorning her head when a helmet is not required and a crisp white Argent Crusade tabard proudly displayed upon her breast.

When not donning her armor, Attara's attire varies from simple dresses to next to nothing at all (or even nothing at all, depending on the company). She often strives for comfort more than attractiveness, though sometimes jealousy can get the better of her...

Personality

Alignment: Neutral Good

Depending on the situation, Attara can vary from being warm and almost motherly, to cold, quite and withdrawn, to a one-woman stampede. In general, she tends to keep the quiet and withdrawn facade up when around non-Tauren, and she has a strong distaste for the undead in all forms-at least those whom have not proven themselves, like the Knights of the Ebon Blade, or Forsaken Priests whom still cling to and manage to use the Light. generally welcoming of most races, the events surrounding Camp Taurajo's destruction and Cairne's death have left a bitter taste in her mouth concerning humans, Orcs, the war, the Tauren's place in said war, and the Tauren's place in the Horde.

History

Born before her brother Kared, she got to experience a side of their father, Kraine, that Kared never had the luxury of knowing. Attara and Kraine had a fairly strong bond even after Kared's birth, and she was often found playing the role of an impromptu babysitter when Kared managed to slip away, easing what punishments he may have recieved-and lowering the frequency. Despite her awkward brother and short-tempered father, Attara grew up fairly normally as a Tauren, and her inherent might led her to the path of training as a Warrior like her father before her. She eventually showed skill in leading head-on charges and holding a position alike, but her shortcomings came against more agile and equally skilled opponents in one-on-one fights.

After the fateful night when she saved her brother from death (the details of which can be found in her brother's profile), Attara and Kraine's relationship became understandably tense, and she slowly began to drift away, finding a new father figure in one of the men whom would become a member of the Bluffwatch upon Thunder Bluff's founding. This new relationship was cemented when Kraine left for Northrend to fight the Scourge, Attara left behind due to her young age. She continued her training regardless, and after spending a short time on the Bluffwatch Attara decided to have armor forged (based on designs Kared -- now Kepora -- had drawn and sent to her by mail) for a journey to seek out the truth as to why her father never returned, and to make sure that her little brother had fared well in a harsh and unforgiving world.

Now, years later, she finds herself as a member of the Argent Crusade; wary at first, but her time and service has opened her eyes tot he true colors of the races of Azeroth-including those she thought the knew well within the Horde. Tirion's cause opened her eyes; she saw how pointless the alliance and horde's squabbles were in the face of great threats like the Scourge. Though she never made it to the fight in Northrend, she has still loyally served the Crusade out of Hearthglen, training tirelessly when the enemies abated and assaulting relentlessly when the Scourge reared it's ugly head. Though she seems to not e an armchair general like some, she shows great talent and potential when leading from the front, her sometimes borderline insane charges providing costly to Scourge forces, and even moreso when she learned of the emergence of Sunwalkers among her kind. When this information reached Attara, there was no force on Azeroth that could stop her. Even when all hope seemed lost, even with trying to learn from both the Argents and her own kind at once, her stubbornness finally paid off: in Azeroth's darkest hour, the Cataclysm, a new light was born. This was the light of a Sunwalker. This revelation has humbled her a great deal, and has placed a much wider perspective on the young Tauren. She knew now that the Crusade's cause truly was for the betterment of herself and Azeroth, and -- upon the discovery of her newfound powers -- she has renewed her oath to Tirion and the Crusade, swearing that she would neither falter nor fail in the face of the Scourge, the Twilight Cult, or any others whom sought to bring demise to Azeroth or it's people.
