A little bit selfish, the forsaken does appear friendly to most, provided they're friendly to him. On the other hand, he doesn't seem to be very disturbed when subjects such as murder and other gruesome things come up, occasionally making him a very interesting conversationalist... Or just a very disturbing one.

History

Arrivan grew up as an average child of Lordaeron farmers. He started learning blacksmithing at a young age, making tools for the farm and irons for the horses. Of course, he also helped around the farm as needed whenever he was not in the smithy.

As a young man of about 16, he'd already started a smithy on his own. Though still living with his family at the farm, he was able to make enough money to live in relative comfort.

A few years passed and, though everything had gone well, the people of Lordaeron had heard the tales of a strange disease spreading across the northlands, a plague, as some travelers had called it.

Arrivan and his family ignored the tales and, even when people started leaving for the city for protection, the Wolf family stayed at the farm and created more tools, armour and all the other things a blacksmith might sell. Though he himself had tried making armour for himself (and still keeps it as a memento), he never really managed to see the advantages to the use of heavy armours. Instead, choosing to fight dirty and exploiting every advantage he had.

It wasn't long after that the strange disease of the north struck their lands as well. Arrivan's mother had caught the plague and, though Arrivan and his father did what they could to nurse her back to health, she passed away.

As they prepared to bury her, however, Arrivan's father noticed movement! Leaning in closer, Arrivan was barely able to pull away as his own mother attacked him, a strange green haze coming from her body.

Running for the smithy as his mother started attacking his father, he grabbed the first thing he could find: a hammer!

The door to the smithy didn't hold long and, as his mother charged in, he hit her in the head, killing her in an instant. The damage was already done, however, as even Arrivan, the last survivor of the Wolf family succumbed to the undead plague and was forced to roam the land, slaughtering innocents where he went, his undead shell using his almost silent and dirty fighting technique to ambush what were once his fellow kinsmen.

The young man killed hundreds or maybe even thousands when, suddenly, the voice in his mind was reduced to a barely audible whisper and he blinked, looking down at his hands as he pulled them out of the body of his latest victim.

Now, the man heard a new voice, though this one was almost soft to the ear nor did it try to dominate his mind. It called for him to rally around one of the unlucky High Elves who called herself Sylvanas.

Seeing as he would've died quickly by the hands, or claws, of his former companions, he set out to seek out this Elf and pledged to her his services.

Now the man, Arrivan, seeks to try and regain the life he has lost for the time he has left before he becomes mindless like so many before him...
