Personality

Alignment: Good Neutral

Arn is a rather educated man; he has been existing for 74 years, so he has tons of experience. He knows a lot about medicine and is an overall good doctor. Though, despite his intelligence and skill, he is actually quiet poor, because he never accepts money for his services.

He is normally against fighting (in fact he considers himself a pacifist), if confronted he will normally try to compromise, run, or give up (not much to lose when you're dead). This does not mean he doesn't know how though, he has had experience in the army when he was alive, learned the pressure points on most races from old doctors manuals, and is a novice in arcane magic, but even if he does fight back, he never aims to kill. Arn will mainly only fight back when others are in danger.

His take on Magic is rather strange. He is learning about it because the whole idea of it doesn't make sense to him. He messes up a lot when trying spells for the first time, but instead of training countless hours to try to get used to the spell, he changes the spell to better suit himself. He does this by using math in the spells layout, which seems odd to most people, but it actually works a good 85% of the time (the other 15% of the time, something unpredictable will happen, whether it's good or bad)

Arn uses the last name, Fiction, to separate himself from his old life of Arn Salavich. Arn has a fear though that one day his former, murderous self will come back some day and good Arn won't be able to stop it. If this happens, all of Arn's morals that have been previously stated will be thrown out the window.

If Arn's alternate personality, Arn Salavich, starts to show, it'll be pretty easy to identify because Arn Salavich doesn't care for hiding his personality. Salavich enjoys class, and refuses to wear the same old robes Arn Fiction normally wears. Instead he normally will steal someone else's clothes, and normally will aim for shirt and pants that are very casual. He refers to people very formally by last name, and believes in chivalry and politeness (but only because he sees everyone as below him, not because he feels respect for them). Salavich questions peoples' ways of life, so he can hurt them or stir up chaos. Salavich carries a sinister looking blade that is filled with poison (supplied by Fiction's medicines), and Salavich made a spell of his own so that this blade disappears whenever he isn't in control (he made the spell with the help of Arn's spell book).

Arn is not completely sure as to why Salavich is able to gain control. In his studies of countless books, Arn believes the culprit could be a concept called the echo of life, and it could be caused by his study of arcane, and triggered by feeling of rage or vast amounts of sadness. This is of course, just theory though.

Whenever Arn loses consciousness his inactive personality will normally take over. Arn won't remain unconscious for a long time either, if he's knocked out, he'll wake up within a few minutes, as if only the pervious personality got knocked out. This doesn't happen if the previous personality was knocked out recently, nor does it happen if it's not physical possible (redeath, or mental trauma). The problem is a mental one (and a slightly arcane one), if Arn is killed, or has critical damage to the brain, he might not wake up instantly like usual. Although this is still only theory, Arn believes it's because each personality is more like two people controlling one body, instead of a single mind with mood swings.

History

Arn was born in Goldshire, a normal middle class home. His mom and dad were the doctors in the town, and were always against fighting, but Arn never really took after them to well (at first). At the age of ten he learned to fire a gun, use a sword, and by the age twelve he kill his first creature (it was just a bird, but it's not really a good path to take at a young age). His parents never learned of his lust for killing until a year before he left to join the army. Although his parents didn't really enjoy knowing their son was going to be a killer, they weren't going to make him do something else that wasn't his passion. They simply prayed that good moral would find him someday.

His mom died of a mysterious disease when Arn was 35. Symptoms included high fever, coughing, unquenchable thirst and hunger, occasional muscle spasms, and to be eventually killed by the slow and painful death of what seemed to be thirst and starvation. His father died a week later do to malnutrition and loss of sleep, searching for an answer to his mother's untimely death. Arn never came to see their funeral.

He didn't hesitate to go out to fight the second he was reached adulthood. When he joined a unit he met two people who would remain good friends of his even after his undeath. The dwarven gunsmith, Radolis (retired and no longer fights the horde), and the mass murdering nut job, Alcon Cadren who is a forsaken in present time (although Arn's views are no longer murderous and immoral like Al's, Arn still just ended up still being good friends when they met again in Booty Bay). He continued to fight, even when nearing his venerable years, and finally died at the age of 67, by the plague of undeath, when passing through Lordaeron.

Upon his undeath Arn realized he could never go back to his old town, or fight in the same army unit he was in. All his old war allies would (re)kill him on sight. He was starting to see what it was like on the other side of the table, what it was like to be the one who gets their last breath taken from them. He came to the conclusion that all the fighting he had been doing his entire life had been pointless and cruel. Filled with sadness and guilt, he decided to atone for his sins in his afterlife. He snuck back into town and grabbed his dad's old doctors manuals (they were donated to the library after his father's death, don't worry though, Arn pay for the books by leaving the last of his money on the front desk), so he can save lives instead of take them. He learned to control his rage so he doesn't revert to his old ways of killing. He decided to live in Booty Bay in the under docks, by the fisherman's house.

About a year ago, Arn was passing through Orgrimmar (he was still trying to find a place that felt like home at the time) and saw a traveling storyteller by the penname “Mr. Fiction”. He told the town a story of three blood elf brothers and a human named Butch, and their adventure to become pirates, but was unaware the story was real. In Booty Bay Arn met a Blood elf, who was looking for a person named Butch. Shocked and overjoyed to realize his favorite story was real, he bowed before the older brother of the three blood elf brothers, Kavok Sarrowfang, who later became a close friend of his. Arn didn't want anyone to remember him by how he was, so upon introduction he used the name Arn Fiction, instead of his old name Arn Salavich.

When living outside the fisherman's house he saw a really big rat, which could have been arguably bigger than most gnomes. He watched it dig through the fisherman's garbage, trying to find something to eat. Out of pure kindness Arn gave the creature a slice of bread, and now it follows him everywhere. He decided to name him Bigges (for obvious reasons), and he later becomes Arn's magical familiar.

Arn found life (death) in the bay to be boring, so he tried to find someone of good morals to work with. He met a young blood elf named Zernor Lightgiver, who was tired of the corruption in Booty Bay. Arn teamed up with him so he can make things better in the world of Azeroth. Arn became one of the first members to the new vigilante group, Tri Written.
