Personality

Mordecai is a peculiar, charismatic religious warrior. His pious favor of all races of the Alliance being capable worshipers of the Light making him a equally sought after man. He lacks the ability to discriminate between the races of the Alliance and somewhat with the better meaning members of the Horde. His treatment of friends is that of a noble, kind man, but enemies are kept an eye on, generally calm and relentless, a cold gaze. In combat Mordecai is a skilled and guided warrior, his own pious and honorable nature showing hardly at all, combat to him is just survival. He keeps a stalwart Gilnean pride raised from his parents. Even though raised in Stormwind his parents kept their absolute faith in the greatest of all Human nations, Gilneas. He hates all that is not affiliated with the good of life, he hates criminals and the mutations of the Fel and Scourge.

History

His parents served the Alliance in the Second War, Gilnean soldiers. They fought long and hard, but by the end of the Second War, the short time to get back to Gilneas proved to stop many Gilnean soldiers of the Second War, especially those in Outland to be stuck outside their own country. They would buy a home in Stormwind and run a smithy and his father on some days attended the many churches of the light throughout Stormwind.

When Mordecai was born his parents made sure to raise him like any Gilnean child would be raised. Throughout his time at school he raised many troublesome fights and was quite the little rough neck. But his mother, not his father was the one to beat him into a man, his mother actually killed more orcs in the war than his father. So soon into his later career as a smith and servitor of the church, He proved to a stalwart friend and companion to other young children; most of which also raised by Gilnean families trapped from their homeland.

As time passed he trained long and hard as a soldier with his father and mother as often as he could, then he also worked with the other young adults as they trained under their own parents. Soon the first group of the religious block known as the Ebon Inquisition would begin with the help of a certain priest telling Mordecai the best way to protect the innocent is not to be innocent yourself.

This was the first founding law of the Inquisition.

Mordecai understood all to well from that day on, and in the coming days, the Ebon Inquisition would meet resistance even from those it protected. But he would do what he could to make sure that the message of the Inquisition would live on. To celebrate this he and his father built a mace, whose head was a black steel chalice, the top flat part had an engraving of the Ebon Chalice and a white trim about it of the beams of the light. This was now the weapon of the Inquisition.
