Personality

Amanda's first impression is always one found rather lacklustre. Her stature is unimposing and as soon as there are more people Amanda's not well acquainted with she might take the high road and leave for another place to linger. While Amanda's isn't shy of other people, she is not quite fond of groups of people. This particular enchantress is mostly found in a promisingly good and upbeat demeanour. A kind and trusting woman in nature, this person does not take kindly to those who betray her trust.

History

Amanda was born into a wealthy family of merchants a few years prior to the chaos that would have been the second war. Her father, Theodore, had been a prestigious small merchant vessel with a dangerous track-record. Her mother was a tailor. Amanda had two half-brothers. Twins. They had been raised by the first bride of her father who perished few years before Amanda's birth. The twin brothers were quite a valuable asset to the merchant-company as well as to her father's health.

Once the second war arrived Theodore had initially opted to stay as far away from the happenings as a first. Even though the war had never reached the shores of Kul Tiras, there were definitely repercussions on the island nonetheless. The crime-rate had taken a significant rise. Among the victims of the petty thievery was Amanda's mother. She had been shived on the market square. Theodore couldn't persecute the thief who had been caught red-handed. But as of then, he decided that the only way he was able to make amends for his mistake of disregarding the war was to assign himself and his sons for duty.

Amanda had been abandoned by her father, or so it had seemed. The girl had received the entire fortune of the family as she was shipped off to get raised by a magical aunt Hilda. Amanda's father and her brothers had taken into account that their choice was one of probably suicide. Unfortunately, it had been. A valiant sea battle costed the lives of the entire crew and the ship had been blown to smithereens only after a successful theft of an artefact and the destruction of two Orcish ships. Amanda was oblivious to what had aspired and how her family came to a sudden decrease in members at that very date.

Her childhood was uneventful as nothing came to pass in Dalaran. Amanda met a few childhood friends and was told the tale of the tragic ends of her parents. Amanda had been too young to shed a tear for the parents she had never properly met. The girl was raised in an almost careless environment. Her aunt had usually been too busy to take proper care of the girl. Amanda quickly knew how to independently take care of herself. Her aunt had been relieved once she sent off the girl to become the apprentice of a wizard after the girl had reached the age of twelve.

Even though Hilda had taught her to write, read and even a few harmless spells she had never developed much of a liking towards her smoke-bloated aunt. The wizard, Jarin, had not been much of a change towards the girl's treatment. Strict policies she had to dance around in order to get her way. Her biggest support had always been a small circle of friends with whom she kept in touch. As the ages dragged by, her knowledge of the arcane grew as did her knowledge of nearly everything else.

Eventually the time of the third war had been brought upon them. Amanda panicked at the first spot of news about the Scourge but her tutor easily managed to calm her down with a quick history of Dalaran and the geography of the northern kingdoms. The sudden arrival of her aunt with nearly all her own possessions and those of Amanda did, however, catch the nearly adult girl off guard. Her aunt only paid visits every month at regulated hours. Hilda had heard caught wind of the news of the Scourge but more importantly did she catch wind of the calling of Jaina Proudmoore.

Hilda's horrid sense of judgment had always been one of the main characteristics of Amanda's aunt. This time, however, it seemed the poor decision had led them into a bit of luck. They landed on the coast after an arduous journey. Of course, Amanda's tutor had decided to follow his employer. Amanda had been urged no only by her aunt but by many of the other colonists to stay with the children and women instead of pursuing Jaina's ambitions along with many others. Jarin continued to guide Amanda and tutor her as the girl's aunt had left her for greater glory amongst one of the parties to, incidentally, save the world.

She did never hear from her aunt again. It was rather clear, that even though she never did get along well with her aunt, that Amanda missed Hilda. That sickening smoking habit lived on in the family as a memoriam to her aunt Hilda. Her studies continued until Amanda met with a man by the name of Craer Naharev. He had offered to teach her some of his magic in exchange for her services as a secretary. Alongside these studies did Amanda indulge in week-long journeys of exploration all across the face of Azeroth.
