Personality

Alvaria is simply herself. After her death and the atrocities she was forced to commit, she simply dropped a lot of her morals and faith. During her life, she was a firm believer in the light, and wanted only to work on the side of good, as seen by an almost stereotypical priestess' view. She had always before done her duties, helped people as much as she could, and tried to keep within ethical, moral, and modest boundaries. In life, she refused to deem anything to be beneath a priestess of any stature, let alone her own. Despite having passed the trials of priesthood and being in a somewhat wealthy family, she would go even as far as to jump into the waters of Lordaeron to help someone find that which they dropped. Not that it ever came to such, but she would have should someone request it.

However, since her death in the Scourge of Lordaeron, she acquired a different mentality. After being raised into the Scourge as one of the mindless, Alvaria lost the ability to simply use her holy powers without the burning pain and mutilation such would do to herself. When she and the others broke free under Sylvanas Windrunner, she simply decided that she was done being a martyr and a saint. In her eyes, she was murdered, and forced to commit crimes against the very fabric of the nature she used to believe was part of the Light's grand scheme. Now, she has a very dark, twisted idea of a higher entity, in keeping with those of the Cult of The Forgotten Shadow.

After being freed, she no longer would do anything on a whim or request. Now, she requires a reason. For every order, every command, every request, she asks for a 'why'. In her eyes, she had done those things in life and been repaid with death and slavery. She was done, and she simply wanted to exist by her newly twisted, yet somewhat ethical morals. On a good day, she may perhaps assisst those of her own kind, or a respected friend, but it is rare.

History

During her life, Alvaria Serassian was born to a moderately wealthy family within the city of Lordaeron. Her family were believers in the Light, but never become sworn into priesthood, nor did they practice any use of the holy magics. They did however, pound every last ounce of faith they could into Alvaria's head, and she quickly decided that she wanted to undergo the trials of Priesthood as soon as possible. She heard the stories of the Clerics of Northshire, and the Knights of The Silver Hand. She admired such honorable people, but knew she had no hope of becoming so famous. She hadn't the skill nor birth of priesthood, nor had she the strength of using plate armor or weapons on the battlefield as those Paladins did in the second war. She knew she would never become one of those heroes, but she wished to at least be in their shadow, to follow somewhat in the footsteps of those she idolized.

As soon as she was old enough, Alvaria went through the trials and tests of priesthood, quickly passing, or at least managing to push through each test. She was determined to enter the priesthood and to follow the Holy Light. When she was allowed to finally achieve her dream, the happiness damn near swept her away. That happiness was short lived though. When she was twenty one, her birthday, as fate would have it, the Scourge began to run rampant through her home. Her family were eviscerated by the undead, her friends, everything she knew was gone. Soon to follow was her own life. The only thing she had left as she hid in the Church behind a column as one of the Scourge Slaves approached her. She knew only fear and pain as she was quickly by the beast.

Then she awoke. A mindless slave. Knowing nothing but the words that resonated through her skull, forcing her to obey. The Lich King hade raised people from the Lordaeron slaughter. Prince Arthas Menethil was all she knew now. The only master she would ever have again. By some miracle, Menethil was weakened, and Lady Sylvanas had taken a large amount of the Scourge Slaves and freed them, creating a band of Forsaken unliving. No longer slaves to anything but their own dark nature, Alvaria twisted her own sense of moral and Holy Light. She believed it was a Shadow now, and soon realized that the Holy Magics burned her flesh away. Soon, the Cult of The Forgotten Shadow was formed, and Alvaria learned more of the Shadow magics. How to utilize the darkness and the shadow. She sometimes dreamed of falling to the level of a Warlock, but never did such a thing happen. No longer willing to do menial tasks on a whim, she now wanders, looking for a life to live, despite not being truly alive herself. She wanders, she lives by her own twisted rules. And now the story begins again.
