Personality

Allandra is a fairly slow learner, and easily distracted. She certainly isn't the most clever mage around, nor the wisest, but she is determined to please her superiors. She enjoys manipulating her magic further than the simple blast of fire, or shard of ice, into a form of artwork. Allandra isn't very open to other races, dwarves being the only exception, usually feeling uncomfortable around gnomes, and even moreso around elves. She finds most dwarves trustworthy and good-natured, and sees them simply as shorter versions of humans that enjoy drinking a little too much. She respects all forms of magic, divine, arcane, and even fel, though she knows that those who practice fel magic are often corrupted and destroyed by it.

History

Born and raised in the city of Dalaran as it was being rebuilt, after the Second War, Allandra was naturally surrounded by, and drawn into the arcane arts. From a very early age her parents urged her to study and focus on learning about magic and how to manipulate it to her will. Allandra on the other hand, had her own agenda, and found it amusing as a child to simply try to sustain fire, or create tiny blocks of magical ice to resemble animals. Until her early teenage years, her magic was never very potent, and often dissipated before she could use it for any offensive purposes. Her determination to please her parents, and her masters, drove Allandra to study harder. Merely a month before the beginning of the Third War, she could conjure and manipulate magic as her pupils could, and was finally ready to complete her initial training.

Fear and uncertainty slowly began to spread throughout the city, as rumors spread that a plague was gripping the northern kingdom of Lordaeron. Allandra's training began to accelerate and expand to reaches she couldn't hope to grasp, as news of the plague, and rumors of an undead disturbance named the Scourge came further and further south. It was soon after this that the Scourge marched upon Dalaran, their worst nightmares becoming real. The Kirin Tor could not stop the advancing horrors, the greatest and most powerful mages falling to the monstrosities. Being nothing more than an apprentice, Allandra could not hope to aid in the defense of Dalaran, and was prohibited to participate in any direct contact with the undead unless it was absolutely vital. Panic spread as the great city was lost, and those who could fled to the south, where it would be safe. It was a truly devastating sight to witness, as the spires of Dalaran fell in unison, everything she had ever known, and almost everyone she had ever loved, slaughtered mercilessly.

From the recently razed city of Dalaran, Allandra traveled to Southshore with a group of survivors, and took a ship to Menethil Harbor. There, most thought that they would be safe for a long while from the advancing Scourge. A small group decided that the small town was not good enough, and that they should keep traveling south, to the great city of Ironforge, Allandra was among these few. The trek took a very long week, but they finally made it to the mighty kingdom of the dwarves. They spoke to the first mountaineer they came across, who was shocked at the news of the great mage city falling to the scourge, from there, the group was personally escorted to Ironforge by a group of dwarven mountaineers. Once they reached the dwarven stronghold, the refugees from Dalaran would wait, and recover.

It was shortly after their arrival that the refugees would discover of the new invention being crafted by the gnomes, they called it the Deeprun Tram, a new and safe underground highway between Ironforge and Stormwind. Allandra spent much of her time in Ironforge away from the other Dalaran survivors, in the company of dwarves. It was there that she learned to put aside her first impressions of the gruff, and hardworking race, though she still considered most gnomes to be fanatic about their strange mechanical devices. Her training was completely put on hold for the duration of her stay in Ironforge, and it would not be continued for a good, long while. In this time she would still practice the art, honing her control over the elements, rather than the potency of them. At the end of her stay, Allandra developed several practical uses for her magic. These included a spell to create dancing sparks over the surface of her clothing, repelling rain and snow with minimal singing, and several artful displays of both flame and frost, resembling various animals and magical beasts.

Finally, at the end of the Third War, the refugees were permitted to use the Deeprun Tram if they wished to travel to Stormwind, or return to Dalaran and help rebuild their city, Allandra chose the former option. She believed that it would be better for her to stay away from the ruins, and perhaps never return to save herself the sorrow. Upon reaching the beautiful city of Stormwind, Allandra resumed her apprenticeship with one of the mages in their designated quarter. She traveled throughout Elwynn Forest, and even into Westfall on small errands for her master, if only to prove in her abilities. At long last, Allandra had earned the title of a fully fledged Mage, and an ally of Stormwind city. From there she would travel independently with a few friends she had met in her travels. The first was a strange mercenary, who seemed to be rather unwilling to speak of his past, and the second was a seemingly naive young woman who was fascinated by demons, and would do anything for a chance to study them. Only time will tell what is in store for the newly appointed Mage, Allandra Lethed Solari.
