Other: She prefers her animal forms to her humanoid one.

Personality

Aliana is rather docile for an elf. She carries herself with a shy demeanor and seems to always be fascinated with the world around her. As a druid, she is considered a feralkin by most due to her extended periods within an animal form. Whenever she is surprised or embarrassed she automatically defaults to one of her forms to hide.

Despite being shy, she is always eager to meet new people. She seems to be rather curious, always trying to learn more about topics, items or people that might gain her attention. She has a fierce sense of pride for her people and is very protective of what she considers her lands. Ashenvale seems to hold a special place within her heart.

She is also rather sensitive about the topic of Felwood, seeing as it was her home before being corrupted by the Legion.

History

Aliana was the only child of Telar and Lirael Moonshadow. She came as a surprise to her parents, not expecting their child to have the amber eyes of a druid, seeing as female druids were rare to start with. Her childhood was rather simple and uncomplicated.

She learned to fight from her parents, learning the simplest of techniques when working with a dagger, staff, or mace. She took this knowledge with her when she explored the forests of Felwood. She learned much of the forest, plants and of herbal medicines from her time growing up and she considered herself prepared when she sought out the Cenarion Circle of training as a druid.

Despite the initial cold reception and being barred from joining the Cenarion Circle, she took to training quite quickly. It did not take her long to learn her first form and with the victory came a sense of pride. It was then she decided she would learn as much as she could about shape-shifting, taking to the forms in earnest. It was not long before she began to see the animal forms she could turn into as a safe haven from the scorn of her male peers. Even though Aliana preferred being an animal, she was much more adept in the arts of healing and restoring the balance of nature. She endured these lessons with patience and despite her success it seemed at times she would much rather be a cat, lurking in the forests. When it came time for her to choose what path she would choose, she decided she would learn the tenants of all the paths. She became a druid of the wild.

Her training continued for almost two centuries as she was taught more about the land she inhabited and it wasn't until she was able into several forms and she had learned how to connect with nature on a deeper level that she decided to leave the Circle.

The first place Aliana traveled after her training was to her home in Felwood. Her parents received her with open arms, eager to see their daughter after the long years spent training. She began to go with them on their excursions into the forests, sometimes as far as Feralas with them. She was eager to see the beautiful forests that surrounded her and her parents taught her all they knew in their times.

It wasn't until the coming of the Scourge and the Burning Legion that her life was changed. Her mother and father went into battle, bidding their daughter to stay home and join with those in Felwood fleeing into the safety of the surrounding forests. Ali, not being the type to be left behind followed her parents, always sticking to the shadows in the form of a indigo panther. It was in this form that she witnessed the death of her parents. The simple human and orc intruders became overwhelmed with the undead. The demons and the dead seemed to swell forward, coming from all around. The elves that stood against the tides were slaughtered, her parents amongst the first to fall. Ali was not even given the chance to help them, the undead flowing like a river. The knowledge that she could do nothing for her parents was the only thing that saved her from rushing into the dead.

She hid within the forests as long as she could, almost becoming lost in the corruption that slowly was leaking into Felwood, before fleeing with the rest of her people to the summit of Mount Hyjal. She spent her time during the final battle tending to her wounded sisters, avoiding the front lines as much as possible. She heard of the atrocities that were being committed by the undead. Whispers of the actions of the courageous humans or the ferocious orcs reached her as the battle dragged on.

She withdrew with the rest of her people when Malfurion Stormrage blew the horn of Cenarius, but she did not stay when the victory was won. She returned to her beloved forests, only to see them corrupted. She knew she could not stay there, she could not bare to see her beloved home completely twisted by the demons will. She made a new home in the forests of Ashenvale and took up her studies among the druids once more, wanting to learn more about restoring balance to nature more than ever before.
