Personality

Lexi is a kind and loving young lady, often demonstrating a child-like fascination with anything new and exciting. Though somewhat emotional and sentimental at times ( which tends to happen more when around families or during conversations involving them, having never really come to terms with the loss of her own ), she can keep her cool when the situation requires a level head. When she -is- calm and collected, Lexi can sometimes be quite confrontational and as stubborn as any of the Dwarves she lived for so long with.

History

Lexi was born and raised in Gnomeregan to a well-off Gnomish family of four. She never showed as much interest in tinkering as most Gnomes typically do, the only exception being explosives, which she took up due to her interest in mining and crafted jewelry from the gems. Her last name, Steamfizzle, was given to her as a result of her proficiency in explosives as fuses generally steam... then fizzle... before triggering the explosive! Yeah, she knows it isn't steam that's emitted from the fuse, it's smoke, but she figures Steamfizzle sounded better than Smokefizzle.

Because of her interest in mining and crafting, she formed quite the affinity for Dwarves, often times making the journey to Ironforge to work alongside their expert miners and crafters, learning what she could from their example. It was inevitable that she would find herself in love with the massive Dwarven libraries, where she would spend a good portion of each day reading up on Dwarven discoveries and expeditions to far away lands in search of riches and proof of their origins. From this she also developed an interest in archeology and dreamed of tagging along with the Dwarves on their journeys, maybe even one day leading her own.

In fact, she spent so much time among the Dwarves that she began assimilating herself to their culture, most notably their love for firearms. One of the many Dwarven smiths she befriended crafted her a custom pair of pistols, designed in such a way to reduce recoil but maintain its power. It was a very simple modification involving the cutting of small vents near the end of the nozzle, which greatly decreased their recoil to a level manageable by Lexi's petite frame.

She found herself trapped in Ironforge during the Second war and enlisted in the army, but being so small and physically weak, she was put to work in the factories rather than on the front lines where she felt she belonged. She resented this at first, but soon came to accept it and even find pride in her work, realizing that she was still doing her part.

Lexi was staying in Ironforge at the time of the incident at Gnomeregan which wiped out her entire family. She blames herself for their deaths, believing strongly that if she had been with them at the time, they may have been able to survive. The idea is pure nonsense, of course, for she'd have likely been killed along with them, but it would be pointless to try to convince her of that.

Now, fueled by a burning desire for vengeance, Lexi continues to hone her skills as an explosives-maker not for her trade in jewelcrafting ( which she gave up ), but to aid in the reclamation of Gnomeregan and aid the Alliance armies in their campaigns on Azeroth and beyond.
