Alekzandra Staarnjor is a 40-year-old Human Mage. She is played by Jonoth.
History
Alekzandra was born in Southshore to a peasant family. She was a fairly bright girl in her youth, so when she reached her mid-adolescence her parents, not wanting her to continue growing up in poverty, sent her to Dalaran to learn. Years of study followed, as Alekzandra learned the basics from many schools of magic, finding teleportation and portals to come very natural to her. She worked hard to fine tune her ability, not noticing that the near constant casting was starting to affect her body. She dismissed her aching joints as just a result of her practice, her few strands of white hair as a result of still needing to perfect her teleporting.
During the destruction of Dalaran, Alekzandra did her best to teleport her friends from the destructive path of Archimonde, still losing many of her colleagues. She helped with the rebuilding process, working as a courier to teleport supplies and relay messages to the rebuilding city. Her anger and rage at losing her friends persisted, and led her not to travel with Dalaran as it was floated to Northrend. Instead, she became part of the Argent Dawn under the name Tala Porter, helping them perform hit and run attacks against Scourge outposts in the Plaguelands by either teleporting small groups, or performing assasinations alone.
Continuing to push herself, her joints ached further, her arthritis becoming more severe, and her skin began to show age spots. She even began teleporting in her sleep to locations she had previously been, on more than one occasion almost getting her killed as she ended up in the midst of enemy forces. She would come to realize it was the result of arcane corruption, her abilities taking a severe toll on her body. She reluctantly decided to cease her activity with the Dawn, retreating to Southshore. Her parents only barely recognized their daughter, who appeared almost as old as they were. They did their best to comfort her, but she knew the damage to herself had been done. She travels the world, not knowing where she will end up, or when the end of the road will come.

Alekzandra appears aged somewhat beyond her years, not just in features but in aching joints and in the way she carries herself. Years of constant magic use has made her a shadow of her former self, being quiet and withdrawn, while still using the rush of magic use to satiate her arcane addiction. She tends to run when backed into a corner, teleporting away rather than facing her personal problems.

Skills and Abilities
Alekzandra specializes in teleportation and portals, having used her intuition for it many years as a courier, assassin, and thief. She also is very knowledgeable in defense magic, able to raise shields to defend herself from attack. As a result, her offensive magic is not as much casting as it is using her teleportation in inventive ways. Due to her arcane corruption, she can sometimes have very unexpected results from her magic, such as teleporting herself or objects she touches spontaneously to random locations, usually places she has already been.
