Personality

Akaya holds her brethren very near and dear since she has seen so many of them tortured and killed. She hates Humans and Night Elves with a fierce passion, and due to Dwarves and Gnomes claiming allegiance to the Humans, she hates them too. Her history is a touchy subject that she will absolutely not speak of to just anyone. Akaya is usually in a dark mood and accents this with a huge side-dish of bitch.

History

Akaya was born shortly before her parents were enslaved and placed into those dreaded internment camps. Her father was did not give in and was killed before the Humans captured the rest of the family. Death is an old acquaintance of hers, seeing as she first caught glimpse of it when she was nothing more than a baby. Her childhood was a tough one. She only heard tales of the great deeds of the Orcs, but never had she seen them do anything besides take all the shit the Humans gave them. Despite not seeing their deeds for herself, these stories inspired her and instilled a great sense of racial pride within her.

Akaya was nearing the age of thirteen when she was freed by a group of Orcs who had attacked the camp. While she and her mother ran to a safe distance she watched as her brother, Gruka, and all the other men fought to slaughter the wretched Humans. This was the first time she had seen anything of the sort, and it thrilled her. Despite her smaller size and inexperience, she wanted to help fight. After the fighting they all retreated to the safety of the forests nearby. She was sleeping when all of the adults were talking about the days events and tending to the wounded, but her brother told her all that was said. Gruka told her of how the leader of the Orcs had died and passed over command to a young Orc by the name of Thrall.

They followed the rest of the Orcs as they freed the last of the encampments and raided the Human keep of Durnholde. The next year of her life Akaya learned a lot about being as stealthy as possible as the Orcs lived on the outskirts of the Human territories. During this time she was also taught the basics of how to use weapons. When Thrall commanded the Orcs to make way to Kalimdor, Akaya was ecstatic. She couldn't wait to be far away from the Humans. When they landed in Durotar Akaya and Gruka were a bit disappointed with the dry soil and the high temperature, but they dealt with it because it meant a place they could call home.

Akaya had not been in a large scale battle before the battle for Hyjal. She had no clue as to why they were siding with the Humans and Night Elves, they had done nothing but wrong her people back in the Eastern Kingdoms and most recently in Ashenvale. Nevertheless she used what combat knowledge she had to do her share of fighting against the Burning Legion.

Since the battle at Hyjal, Akaya has become a Mercenary. She travels around central Kalimdor looking for work, be it body guard duty; ridding a farm of Quillboar; etc.
