Personality

Aeda is a stern, straight to the point kind of woman, never spending much time socializing, preferring the quiet of archery range, the wilds, or sparring with a select few who could keep up with her.

She can be very harsh on herself, pushing herself to the limits of her capabilities, never bragging should she accomplish any major feet, but sulking should she fail.

Aeda is calm and collected, even when in danger, or atleast she’d like to tell herself that, though sometimes she can indeed have moments of brief confusion, perhaps even panic.

She values her friends highly, the few that she has, the most loved being her family, or what is left of it. She will do what she can to ensure the safety of her friends and family, though she will prioritize her latter above the former. Losing her parents has made her, perhaps over-protective, of the rest of the family.

Despite her calm and collected nature, Aeda is not without anger, and when she is angered, she often becomes a furious woman, not above vengeance or punishment, especially when faced with traitors or spies, all things she has been in the past, and things she tries to escape in the present.

History

Aeda was born into a high class family, both her father and mother well known mages. Seeing as how both they and then later her younger sister went into the study of the arcane, the expectations that Aeda would go the same way was high. It would not be so, however. For Aeda was much more of an outdoor type, favoring physical activity above that of reading and studying books. And so her parents quickly saw to it that she received training in the art of swordsmanship, archery and spear or polearm.

Trained already at a young age, when she was old enough to be accepted into the Farstriders, she showed great potential as she spent hours practicing her archery at the range, or sparring with one of the trainers. Her pursuit of martial perfection left her clueless to other social activities, and oblivious to the advances men made on her.

When her little sister, Arianna was born, Aeda spent more time at home, until it was evident her sister could handle herself, and so Aeda immediately took back up her bow and started to spend more and more time away, driving herself to the edge by staying out late, always trying to perfect that one blow, or hit the right target. And, as she grew in age and mind, she started reading of the laws of Silvermoon, as she was expected to, now a member of the Farstriders, and on the good side of her superiors, she strived the best she could to be everything that was expected from her.

As her time within the Farstriders dragged on, she slowly climbed the ranks, through perseverance and devotion to their cause, and the skills she so relentlessly worked to perfect during almost every waking moment of her teens and up, Aeda managed to catch the approving eyes of the Ranger-Lord Ascerin Dawnsend and through completing hand-picked missions, attained the rank of Lieutenant.

This, one might’ve thought, would’ve made her slow down her tireless training, but one would be wrong. She saw very little of her family, and if anyone only Arianna when she wouldn’t be studying or flirting with some man’s heart.

All would have been good and well, had it not been for the day that Arthas and his corrupted scourge swept a bloody swath through the city walls, leaving a permanent mark upon the once beautiful forests outside Silvermoon.

As part of the Farstriders, Aeda was amongst the city defenders. They fought a hopeless fight, and for Aeda, it was short: She was ordered, not by her superiors no, but her family, to flee the city and take with her those who could not fight themselves. Aeda was furious, but accepted. All of her training and she was the one appointed to lead the ones fleeing. Still, she did her duty to the best of her abilities.

What happened back then is still a blur to her, she is only thankful that she was never a social elf, having suffered a small number of casualties amongst friends and family, yet somehow, it only seemed larger for that; Her already small group of close friends had dwindled. But the biggest blow was yet to come; Her parents never fled the city in time, having stayed behind to ensure the escape of others, yet failing to get out themselves.

She vaguely remembers the news of her swordsmanship mentor having fallen during the battle, but it was all blocked out by the death of her parents.

Left, with her sister and what remained of the once proud race of High Elves, Aeda walked aimlessly around the vacant ruins of her once beloved city, now in ruins. When word of Kael’Thas return reached her ears, she, like so many others, flocked to his cause, taking up the new name; Blood Elves. She along all others present swore vengeance.

His words of their inevitable downfall, unless they did not find other means to replace the glorious Sunwell was like honey-coated cookies, and she ate them all up, plunging right in when he would suggest they took to fel energy instead. When the trolls started encroaching on their lands, taking advantage of their weakness, Aeda was there to fight them back to the best of her abilities, but it was only when Kael’Thas decided to take with him the strongest and those who could still fight with him, in hopes of aiding the humans against Arthas, that Aeda was satisfied. Finally she could put herself to good use bringing vengeance to the worm responsible for the downfall of her race.

When the humans turned their aid away, refusing to accept their offer, and Kael’thas forcefully accepted the aid of Lady Vashj, she joined him in Outland, escaping much of the events on Azeroth, though she would experience much more on this new world. Here she, along with the elves who followed Kael’Thas through the portal, learned to sustain themselves further by draining from various magical sources, growing more and more addicted to the practice.

Outland not only proved to be a means to sustain their mana addiction, but a new hunting ground; Deamons were now her target, she would root them out and hunt them down on orders, each arrow or sword strike would give her a small ounce of happiness as she felt she was doing something useful, putting her experience and abilities to full use.

But it was all an illusion, the fel blurring her vision some might say, but in truth it was the honeyed words of Kael’Thas. It was not until his deceit was fully uncovered that Aeda, disgusted with herself and Kael’Thas, ventured back through the portal, to Silvermoon and back to the Farstriders she knew, that she found some form of happiness.

Now, after Kael’Thas’ first downfall in Outland, and after his cunning heist in Silvermoon itself, stealing away M’uru only to finally meet his doom inside the Magister’s Terrace and with the restoration of the Sunwell, Aeda’s efforts, though not always the best, and certainly not the wisest, such as when she followed the words of the then savior; Kael’Thas, has made her a Ranger-Captain of the Farstriders, under Ranger-Lord Ascerin Dawnbreaker. She proudly wears the title and responsibility on her shoulders, and past errors guide her decisions in the future and present.
