Personality

Tikar clings to his family. He was never really close to his mother Sadil Nightseer, but still tries to do his best to make her proud. Tikar owes most of his temperament and combat skills to his Sentinel mother. His father Hercynian was nearly absent in his childhood. Lacking their love and affection, Tikar turned to his other relatives for the love he needed. He views Ursoc and Ursol as his divine reflection, hoping someday to be that close to someone. His devotion can be seen as obsessive to others. Tikar even used to push that image on his younger sibling, Kantado. While they have a history of arguing like brothers, they are very close. He owes Kantado with helping him to understand and work alongside the other races. Yet still Tikar is suspicious and wary of the other races outside of his family and Night Elven culture.

Alignment: Chaotic Good.

History

Tikar was born to Sadil and Hercynian long before the Third War. He spent just a few years with his mother before being left to the community to be raised. As a typical male, Tikar was fed Druidism at every opportunity. Despite this he was a rowdy kid getting into all sorts of trouble. At least things were quieter when Tikar entered the Emerald Dream. Tikar met his father for the first time there, and was trained under him. He favored the teachings and examples of Ursoc and Ursol.

When news of a younger brother reached him, Tikar was estatic! To him, his devotion to Ursoc and Ursol had granted him the greatest gift he could imagine. He gladly offered to raise the child, as Sadil was always consumed with Sentinel duties. Tikar saw a lot of himself in the young Kantado, and usually found his antics hilarious. To their parents' dismay, Kantado was raised without a lick of discipline. Tikar saw his slacker brother as his opposite, comparable to Ursol.

As the Third War began, Tikar agreed that his younger brother should stay in the dream for his own protection. Tikar fought alongside his father against the Burning Legion. It was inspirational for Tikar as he thought perhaps this is what mother saw in Hercynian. But that would probably be pushing it. Tikar was outraged when the world tree was damaged. He thought the worst for his brother and traveled home. Kantado was found in Moonglade, safe. With his family taken care of Tikar was poised to take a much needed rest. Tikar thought it was ironic; He was slouching and his brother was training.

An exciting tale of a crash and aliens on Azeroth sparked Tikar's interest. He went with his brother to greet the Draenei and developed a sympathetic ear to their world's plight. As the brothers returned to Moonglade, Tikar desired to learn more. Hitting the books, scout logs and a supplies requests, Tikar stumbled upon something called the Cenarion Expedition. It was a perfect fit for Tikar. With the bulk of the activity in Northrend, Tikar took to Outland. He spent the next few years in peaceful seclusion with the Expedition and mastered his drudic abilities.

With the Northrend war over and his wanderlust sated, Tikar returned to Ashenvale. He met up with some like-minded defenders of the forest in The Ash Wardens. However, at the start the great elemental unrest Tikar left their ranks to find out what was happening. He was a staunch follower of Fandral and was looking for his guidance. Unfortunately his childhood hero had been corrupted and subsequently jailed in a Hyjal barrow den. Tikar traveled there and joined with a group of druids both trying to tend and defend the great world tree. Tikar was a natural defender so he took to the front lines and faced the fiery threat.

It was only after the inital attack had been defeated that an uneasy stalemate set in. Realizing even he might need some allies, Tikar has withdrawn from active duty. He now serves his people as a mentor to champion the cause for Hyjal.

Skills and Abilities

A specialized Druid of the Wild, Tikar belongs on the front lines. His favored from is that of a Dire Bear. He has mastered this form to fully incorporate his armor and weapons. While he can shift into a feline or avian, this is only for practical traveling reasons. In his caster form he is a capable Druid, but that's not really his style. He's even chosen to grow out his hair, fingernails and trained in hand-to-hand combat to help him attune more closely to Ursoc.
