Gritty, raw and matter-of-fact, Gresh is honest about his feelings and opinions and won't sugar coat what he thinks about someone. He is, however, not out to offend or harm - he is just as likely to praise someone for their actions as he is to chastise them.

Gresh always considers his actions greatly before making them. At the forefront he is an observer, he takes pleasure in watching and waiting, then striking when the time is right. A self-proclaimed pragmatist and darwinist, Gresh doesn't look to anyone else to solve his problems.

A Horde patriot, Gresh is uninterested in his ancient heritage and seeks to aid the Horde in adjusting to Azeroth and defeating its enemies.

Gresh is in tune with the Elements on a philosophical level. He cannot call upon their power by any means, but he is knowledgeable on the subject and places his faith in them as much as any Orc.

History

Gresh was born to two proud warriors of the Warsong clan not long after the Second War. They were warned against conceiving a child in such a situation, but ignored the admonishes. The Warsong were constantly forced to ensconce themselves from the Human threat - something they resented furiously.

Thrown into a difficult life from birth, Gresh quickly grew hardy even as a young child. He never saw Human, and could not recognize them if he did, but he knew them as the ultimate enemy and one he must help to destroy. He was not unwanted within the clan, but he was an extra mouth to feed and a vulnerable boy to protect. Many had a distaste for him and his parents for bringing him into the world.

Gresh grew to teen years in this manner, and, as is customary in Orcish tradition, was taken on hunts with his clan. He picked up a bow - for bows are cheap to craft, and the Warsongs had no way to glean metal from the earth. He had an affinity for hunting: patient and careful, he would often score a kill himself in the hasty hunts.

Gresh was seventeen years of age when he began preparing for his Om'riggor. It did not last long. Thrall recruited the proud Warsong clan in his plight to free the Orcs, and Gresh went with him on their rampage around the camps, and subsequently across the great sea, to Kalimdor.

Gresh aided the endangered Tauren in their quest to reach Mulgore alive, then helped found the great city of Orgrimmar. There he remained for a short while.

Then came the Legion, once again. Gresh had heard little of them and seen even less, and was too young to face such a foe. His pride was wounded, but he was sensible enough to admit it was the correct move.

Gresh travelled central Kalimdor, doing what he could to aid the Horde. He has yet to find time to take his Om'riggor - the life of a scout is a busy one.
