Personality

Emille is a curious creature. Having not been exposed to a life outside of her family and having never really been outside of Southshore – she is interested in absolutely anything and everything. Her sensibilities and maturity (which she has a surprisingly good amount of) take a backseat when it comes to new sights and experiences. Like a child in a toy shop, she will lose track of her practical side and give into the desire for entertainment and adventure.

Having always been just this side of poverty – Emille has no love or desire(Or knowledge, really) for extravagant things. Thing that would seem ridiculously over the top for Emille are quite normal things for people of even an average lifestyle. She can sometimes be very self-conscious about her lack of knowledge in the finer things and may even be compelled to tell a few white-lies or bluff in order to hide the fact. She is a pretty sensitive soul. If she is mocked, or insulted she will of course, probably react angrily – but later, her mood will deteriorate. The areas where she lacks confidence are mostly her inexperience and lackings and this is mostly due to the way people seem to make her feel she is deficient. Luckily, it has never entered her mind to think about how people perceive her looks.

Lacking ‘proper' education or not – Emille loves knowledge. Not for the power it can hold, but simply because everything is so new! She loves people (for the most part) but seems to have a strange misconception that people are basically good. Perhaps she is a little too trusting. She's fiercely loyal and gets lonely fairly easy – having been used to a huge family and suddenly finding herself on her own has been hard and kind of terrifying at times. Emille may be a simple creature, but she isn't stupid. She is simply learning.

She's pretty tough, too. She had several older brothers that fashioned her into a tomboy with an appetite for getting into trouble. Though, what trouble you could get up to in Southshore is undoubtedly lesser than that you could get into elsewhere. A lifetime of running around and chasing toddlers has made her fleet of foot and provided her health and fitness.

History

Emille's life has been pretty simple and isolated.

She was born and raised in Southshore. She is somewhere in the middle in a total of 8 siblings. She has never (until very recently) left the immediate surrounds of Southshore. She knows every villager by name and most of them will recognize her face. Her father is a middle-aged man. He's a kind and loving father. He's also a fisherman and in order to feed his family, he works hard harvesting some of Southshore's renowned sea turtles. Her mother was the daughter of a farmer – they met at the markets. Her mother does still work at the markets sometimes when she can safely leave older children in charge of the younger children.

Emille was placed in charge of some of her siblings when she was old enough and when she seemed to display decent amounts of responsibility and maturity. Schooling was attained pretty much by life experience and what her parents would have time to teach their children – no formal education for this one. She's fairly literate – her speech is clear. But big words are often lost on her.

When she was 17, one of her elder brothers was killed in an attack on Southshore by a group of Forsaken. Unfortunately, this brother was one of her favourites. Emille was greatly saddened but not crushed. As she was nearing the age of adulthood – her parents gently began pushing her ‘out of the nest' so to speak. They tried to prepare her for the world that was opening up before her. A year later, they sent her away with ten gold pieces to Goldshire where they told her to find a form of employment and to keep out of trouble.
