While she is often bogged down by her work, she is generally a fairly kind and friendly person. While she is definitely introverted, she enjoys socializing and spending time doing more casual activities.

She is very much afraid of Death Knights, mostly due to lack of knowledge. She is also unnerved by most of the other Horde races. She feels only distaste for the Alliance.

She has a fascination of literature, and possesses many books. She also loves flavoured tea.

History

Alyra was the third born of a rich merchant household. Her parents desperately wanted a male to act as heir, and she was really rather unwanted. Spending most of her childhood alone or with an employed sitter, she had a distant and rather bitter relationship with her parents.

Alyra was always an intelligent, bright child, but was never truly happy. Passing through home-schooling education with ease, her parents influenced her to take up the role of a Magistrix. Happy to prove herself to her parents, Alyra studied both politics and the Arcane relentlessly. While she quickly gained a bountiful knowledge of the politics of Silvermoon, she could never truly grasp magic; even the most basic enchantment was difficult for her. As such, her parents once again lost interest and left to her own devices. With enough money to live on without work and a large house, Alyra began to waste her days away, reading books and learning music. Due to her lack of combat skill and interest in the matter, she did not fight in the second war. While now she regrets being so idle, at the time she simply did not care about the war.

Nine years ago, the Scourge invaded Quel'thalas. Even Silvermoon itself was in danger, and Alyra was scared for her life. While she was not hurt, and never even saw any of the undead horde, the extent to which the forest was ravaged shocked her. Vowing to herself to start helping in at least one way, Alyra went through a large assortment of different professions. First trying to learn to use plants and cloth to heal, but deciding it was too minor to make a difference. Then she picked up a bow. Needless to say, after a Farstrider captain with a sore rear, she quickly put it down.

The next year, the Blood Elves return from Outland. Without a second thought, she learned to absorb fel with her peers; thinking it could be some way to kick start her magical ability. She spent another few months with a tutor, hopelessly attempting to become at least some kind of Mage, but to no avail. Alyra retreated back to her house and sulked. Spending much of her time as before, Alyra was irritated at herself and generally bored, but had decided she could do little but fail at anything she wanted to do so her drive to improve was all but gone.

After the purification of the Sunwell, Alyra was somewhat enthralled by the Blood Knight order. Due to the large amount of talk about them and their recent success in Outland, she decided to give them a try. Even the basic ideals of the organization were interesting to her, and she quickly became more hard working and determined to improve, deciding that she was to be a Blood Knight.

Again, Alyra was to fail. Her lack of confidence, martial skill and devoutness left her trailing behind and after a few months she gave up. She decided simply to leave Silvermoon and find a new home. Her delusions of grandeur had finally been thrust into the revealing light, and she began to come to terms with her mediocrity.
