Personality

Urzhad was, and always will be, a curious soul. He wants to stick his nose in everything, just to see what it is, even if it has wings, claws and breathes fire. He shows a great distrust of arcane use, and it's practitioners, yet he will give them a chance to prove themselves as good willed people who can use it somewhat thoughtfully.

He shows much lack of faith in the Blood Elves, and their past involvement with Demons and Fel. He believes that such a great deal of interference and interaction with both cannot simply be abandoned so easily, no matter what the elves themselves claim.

He holds his friends close to his heart, and shows loyalty to those he holds dear. Once you're on his good side, it's hard to lose him as a friend. A soul can always be saved, over time.

Yes, he is also a hypocrite, but then again, everyone is. Such is the way he thinks.

He is also short fused, and quick to show anger, should anything or anyone drive him to such lengths. Never quite being used to not having his say in thins, Urzhad finds it hard to simply stand by, and not talk or otherwise engage in meetings or gatherings. However, sometimes he does the complete opposite of this, and withdraws within himself, lost in thoughts on all matter of things. He is a complex persona.

History

Born into a nomadic tribe, as part of a rather large family. Urzhad's father was a great hunter of the tribe, and many had expectations of him to follow in his father's hoof prints, however, it would not go that way.

His childhood was spent in training under his father as well as the other warriors and hunter's watchful eyes, instructing him in how to fight with the heavy, two handed hammer and axe. He took in every advice he was given, eager to learn and improve. During his childhood, his tribe, travelling far and wide, came across another; The Kodohorn Tribe. The two tribes eventually formed a friendship between families, sharing stories and food during the bonfires at night.

And as one would expect; eventually they started competing, in both hunting, storytelling and artistic skills, be it anything from weapon smithing to carving of spiritual totems.

Urzhad's life went by like this for years, with him eventually joining his first hunt, killing his first animal, and completing his rite of passage as a fully accepted member of his tribe. All of this, however, was changed during one night, in which he experienced a rather vivid dream, involving his long since passed grandfather, during his very own rite of passage, and Urzhad somehow knew, through some weird form of mutual understanding with his dead ancestor; that he was not meant to become a hunter, or a warrior, at least not a warrior alone, but something more; the spirits wanted him, the pride of his family, destined to be a great hunter, to be something completely different. They wanted to commune with him, to make him understand their ways; In other words, they wanted to set him on the path, to become a Shaman.

The weeks passed, and Urzhad ignored it, until the dreams started to repeat themselves, over and over he would see the same vision of his grandfather, accepted into the tribe. He spent hours alone, in deep thought on the hunt. There had to be a purpose to the dreams, no? They had to mean something, yet he could not understand what. The dreams continued to haunt him, always the same, never changing, until finally, he noticed it; His grandfather had not been accepted into the Tribe, not at first. The dream had changed, some time, during the weeks, it had changed. He saw himself, not his ancestor, enter the waiting circle of kneeling shamans.

It had never been shamans before, but he knew it was, he knew now. He knew what he had to do, if he was ever to continue this journey of visions, for now he was curious. He needed to know more, he wanted to know more.

And so it was, that Urzhad, the great hunter, stood infront of the council, gathered from both the Kodohorn Tribe, and his own, the Steppestrider Tribe. He presented his dream, and how they had progressed without him knowing it, yet the setting itself had not changed, only his understanding of what he saw. It was decided then, that he was to leave behind his life by the spear, and undertake the training to become a Shaman. This would of course require patience, as well as the will to learn.

His curious mind helped him along, it gave him the drive he needed. Every question asked by his mentors left even more behind in his head, and he would ask about them the next day, often to their surprise or amusement. The day eventually came, when Urzhad was called inside his mentor's tent, either to leave as a failure or stand amongst his tribe as a Shaman.

The hours passed as the sun slowly crept over the sky, until Urzhad finally parted the tent's entrance, a tired yet victorious smile on his face as he was proclaimed a Shaman of the tribe in front of them all.

Now, no longer a hunter, he had a new life to get used to; he had new responsibilities he needed to understand and learn. Years passed again, meetings with the Kodohorn Tribe changed as he did, when before his interests had been in proving his worth, a boyish need to show off, he now felt himself competing not only for the respect, but for the females.

He had eyes on one in particular; Vitani, the daughter of the Kodohorn's chieftan. He did everything he could to succeed whenever she was around, watching or not. But he was always too shy to approach her, and actually speak of his feelings directly to her face.

Not long after he had started to gain confidence, his dreams would once again be disturbed by the ever enigmatic spirits; showing him various visions of roads he knew, and roads he had never travelled before. One road in particular kept reappearing, a road he knew; The road to Orgrimmar. He knew not what to do, and so did as he had learned to do; he sought advice from his old mentors. They all agreed it could not be anything but the spirits' way of telling him that he should travel. To where this journey would take him, they could not decipher, but such was expected from the spirits.

Saddened, that he were to leave on this journey, he made the preparations quickly, hoping that the sooner he would abide by these visions from his dreams, the sooner he would return. So settled was he on leaving, that he only said goodbye to his family and own tribe, forgetting his intentions of speaking to Vitani.

Alas, he would stay away on his journey for years, travelling the continents, chasing visions from his dreams, only returning home briefly to seek guidance and understanding of the complex dreams. During his travels, Urzhad made a great deal of friends, amongst Orcs and trolls, even a few Blood Elves, much to his own surprise.

Eventually, he received another vision; one of home, of not only his own tribe, but also the Kodohorn. Perhaps this was a message to return home? Or perhaps this was an actual dream, caused from his longing? He knew only one way to rid himself of the dreams; he had to go home.

Now, he's returned home, finding his old mentor dead, paying his respects and visiting his resting place, amongst his family too. Now, he seeks to rejoin his tribe, news of the Kodohorn's chieftan passing away darkening his return. He will do as he always has; try and try again, until he has solved or understood the situation.

Skills and Abilities

More than one: Urzhad's connection to his ancestors allow them to whisper their experiences to him, possibly improving his knowledge on battle tactics or how to beat a certain foe. When you face Urzhad, you face not one, but a multitude of minds connected through an ancestral link.

Call for guidance: No one is all knowing, but several minds think better than one, and as such, when concentrating for an extended period of time, Urzhad may call upon his ancestors for guidance, be it a question or perhaps, if he's lucky, the answer to something he could not see himself.

Spiritual empowerment: Focusing his mind on his weapon of choice, Urzhad may empower his weapon through aid of his spiritual connection, making it stronger for as long as he can maintain his focus. What spirit answers, he cannot foresee. (Be it Fire, Earth, Wind, Water, or an Ancestor)

For the Tribes!: Urzhad's connection with the ancestors of the Tauren race has given him a better understanding of the spirits, and they chose to bless their kin, and those who honor them. Urzhad can, after asking for it through meditation, recieve the spirits blessing, giving him a surge of power for the task at hand. (I.E He is "buffed" with increased strength, speed, vigor and so forth. It only manifests and boosts his physical powers)

Should he lose the favor of his ancestors, or the spirits, Urzhad is rendered completely powerless, leaving him with nothing but his own body, and the tools he has at hand.

This includes cutting that connection short by force (If one has a means to block spiritual or elemental magic, that would pretty much be it for him) Or, if inviromental factors counter this connection, such as "Dead Zones" where no spirits would venture, or have trouble reaching him.

Losing the favor of the Elements, or the spirits, is something that happens either through aiding what they deem evil, that is to say, in their eyes; Fel users, demons, forcing spirits or elements under his will, or aiding others in doing so, ect. ect.
