Appearance

Most of the time, Shaya wears a shiny, silver and purple plate armor that covers all but her head. A blade, as well as a shield are her companions when she wears her plate, both shining in a brief purple light as well. But in times of relaxation, the color that usually engulfs her body is red, be it another plate armor, some leather armor, or even robes or a red shirt with a fitting kilt.

Personality

Shaya is a double-sided coin. She can be as arrogant and temperamental as she can be friendly and gentle. The friendly state mostly occurs if she smokes cigarettes, they seem to calm her down quite well. She has a grudge against her blood brother, Kiovar, who always complains about her smoking and her addiction to bloodthistles, and often argues with him as soon as they meet.

History

Shaya was born in Silvermoon, as the youngest Sunchaser. But her older sister Riwana always stood in the family's favor, so she lived in her sister's shadow. However, her parents notices her fighting skill even at her early age, since she always won squabbles against other children. They asked in the castle town of Stromgarde if the humans could train her in the fighting arts. They accepted, and Shaya quickly showed much promises.

During her training, not only as a warrior but as a paladin, she accidentally came across a cigarette, a normal cigarette that another student had offered her. Quickly, she became used to smoke whenever she had free time, almost becoming addicted to it. Her family frowned upon this behavior, but they snapped as they found out that their own blood was smoking not only normal cigarettes, but also some filled with bloodthistles. Shaya was exiled and never allowed to come home again.

She was homeless for many weeks after her banishment, sleeping in the barracks or sometimes in a tavern. She only smoked bloodthistles only now and again, but still was addicted to normal tabbaco. Her final breakdown came when Arthas and his undead armies washed over Quel'thalas. She quickly followed the call to arms, but in the end, it was in vain. She retreated to Silvermoon and hid in the Sunchaser family house. Her sisters were so kind to let her in, other than their parents. Fortunately, Arthas was only interested in the Sunwell, and not in slaughtering every High Elf in the region, so they remained unharmed.

After the war around them was over Shaya was immediately cast out again along with insulting words like „coward“, and „disgrace to the family“. For the next years, Shaya traveled the world, improving at least her fighting skills since she had no masters that could teach her further in the ways of the Light. But the addiction to magic gnawed on her very soul after the corruption of the sunwell and the lost connection to magic, and the only way she thought would be bearable, was to commit herself to bloodthistles. She became addicted to these herbs as well during her travels.

But eventually she returned to Silvermoon, which by then was about to be rebuilt. She greedily accepted the new source of power, the fel crystals, so that her once blue eyes turned into the bright green color that is typical for the Sin'dorei. The blood knights as they called themselves by then were a second chance for Shaya to further improve her training in the Light, the strict training helped her to get away from her bloodthistle addiction slightly. Unfortunately, even with her amazing skills as a blood knight, she was still an outcast for her parents and her brother Kiovar. Only her two older sisters accept her the way she lived.
