Personality

Pre-Paladin: Saaroy used to be a very dumb human. His battle skills were 'good enough', but still required to be chiseled. He slowly matured as he interacted with other people, and after finishing his training..:

Post-Paladin: After maturing, he become more mature - ironically. His restless urge to become a hero and nearly every hint of stupidity does no longer exist in his head. When or if he gets drunk, however, he becomes more similar to how he was pre-paladin. He holds no grudges towards anyone unless they hurt him or any his friends. Still, he is not very fond of Forsaken.

History

Saaroy Pumpkins, originally named Saaroy Cucurmoore was the son of his father. His father was a workman who specialized in sealing roofs, and his mother worked at home, washing clothes, dishes, rugs, walls, windows, beds, sheets, etc. They had a large pumpkin kitchen-farm that had been in the family for centuries. As Saaroy grew up, he disliked pumpkins more and more, and his parents and grandmother were not pleased by this. Yes, the grandmother lived in their house, in the basement. She made delicious pumpkin-wine.

Neither his parents or grandmother spoke of his grandfather, but as he talked to the other people in Elwynn Forest, he discovered that his grandfather acctually was a Paladin, named Leeroy Pumpkins, who was originally a great hero until he died from drinking too much beer, which caused his liver to explode when he drank his last dwarven mug of ale. However, Saaroy was proud of being the grandson of this originally great, but not really sober man. He asked his parents and grandmother why they never had told him about his grandfather, but they grounded him for two months and told him to never say that person's name again. Saaroy never spoke to his parents about his grandfather again, but he occasionally snuck into his grandmother's room when she was away and read her diaries, which had alot more detail about his grandfather's heroic deeds than the other villagers knew. Saaroy left home at an age of fifteen.

Saaroy set his goal for his life to become a great hero as his grandfather. This goal is yet not fulfilled, but he stood against those who told him he would make no good hero, and continued pushing on. He met another human in shiny armour when he visited Stranglethorn. Saaroy - who at this point was 18 - was journeying in order to become even stronger. This human called himself a Paladin, and looked down at Saaroy as a little boy. After alot of drama and near-death-experiences, Saaroy became his Squire.

Training day and night, and sometimes just derping around at the bar, Saaroy looked at the Paladin as an uncle, even though he was not his uncle. Saaroy slowly matured when travelling with this man. They travelled across both Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, from Winterspring to the Searing Gorge. Saaroy worked hard, even when shovelling the Paladin's steed's poop away from the stables, polishing the Paladin's equipment and brushing the horse's fur every morning and night.

As Saaroy and his master returned to Stormwind, they parted ways after seven long years together. His master told Saaroy just before he rode away on his steed, that his grandfather became an alcoholic when he lost the Light, and that his parents and grandmother looked down at his grandfather because they looked at him as a failure. It was a family tradition that the family members set a single goal and lived up to that - if they did not, they were no longer part of the family. After staying ten days in Stormwind, resting, Saaroy took his grandfather's name and renamed himself Saaroy Pumpkins.
