Appearance

Physical Description: Jameson stands at five foot seven and has short unkempt rusty hair. His bright green eyes shine against his tanned skin. He has a rugged beard growing as of late because he refuses to waste time to shave it. He is usually in what he calls his "Explorer's Outfit" which consists of a plain dirty white shirt. A rawhide jacket that has had the extra pockets sewn into it. A pair of equally dirty brown cloth pants, and a tool belt with an assortment of equipment in the pouches. He occasionally has a pair of thick goggles for use in extreme weather.

Personality

Jameson can be described as an adventurous, hard-headed, driven fool. He is a brave and loyal friend willing to risk his own life to save those he calls a friend. He can be selfish though when it comes to splitting the treasures he seeks or the finds he makes. Though he can usually be reasoned with as he isn't without some merit. Minot is never more at home then when he is sleeping on some bare uncomfortable moist ground deep in an unexplored cave in some remote wilderness. His natural urge to explore is deep seated in him and he will grow anxious, even angry when he is forced to stay in one place for too long. His need does not end with only exploring but analyzing his surroundings as well. Always scribbling his findings in his weather beaten journal. "Knowledge and excitement are not found by the lazy." A motto he lives by as he trudges through some of the most dangerous area known in Azeroth. Whistling a tune he'd either made up or heard from some bard in a recent tavern he'd stayed at. Though this outlook he has on life has also landed him in trouble more then once as he tends to have a fuzzy moral compass when it comes to business or appropriating funds for an expedition. His willingness to work with just about anyone if the find or area was rare enough has some people questioning his alliances.

Alignment: Chaotic Good

History

Born year five of the timeline Jameson's parents had been citizens of Stormwind during it's fall in the first war. They had become refugees and retreated north with the rest trying to find a peaceful place to raise their soon to be newborn child. They lived off the land trying their best to keep out of the growing turmoil.

He spent his early child playing within range of their little shack in the Arathi Mountains. He had learned to walk earlier then most and as soon as his parents had begun letting him roam had always darted for the door. Though they would not let him go far they did eventually let him roam outside. He would explore as far as he could before getting out of sight for the shack they lived in and hurrying back to it. It was a dangerous area so sometimes he was not allowed outside or would come running back in awe and fear of some creature he would see.

It was not until he was eleven that his parents had managed to make enough to move back to the recently rebuilt Stormwind. It was a drastic change for Jameson and his young heart yearned to run free in nature. To explore places he had never been, to go places others would not. This would turn out to be how he got his first serious injury when he was fourteen while playing in Stormwind's sewers. If it had not been for one of his cowardly friends having left him hours before and telling on him to his father, he probably would have died down there.

He had tried to make a jump he knew inwardly he could not make to impress some of the braver kids who were still with him. This gut feeling had turned out correct and he fell to the stone ground below shattering his left leg. They had run off instead of helping him which had angered Minot. He was crying and trying to stand when his father found him a few paces from where he had landed, two Stormwind guards escorting him.

Even though he had injured himself and had not truly healed well, this had never deterred him from exploring the nooks and crannies of the stone and mortar prison his parents called home. As he got older the anxiousness within him grew until one day while he had been drinking himself into a stupor in a local dive. A group of travelers from afar entered the bar heading to a table near the middle. He overheard them talking about a cave they had recently been exploring and how he had found some lost treasure. As he re-positioned himself at a table closer he found himself clinging to every word the men were saying. As they described the darkness of the cave, the creatures they had to find and the dangers they had to navigate. To prove this to the nay-Sayers he ended buying everyone in the bar a round with a small portion of the gold they had found.

It was from then on that Jameson knew what it was he had been yearning for all his life. He was to be an explorer. After that night he would head to the Stormwind Library and begin reading up on anything even closely related to exploration and survival in the wilderness. He began harassing local hunters and traveling warriors with his questions and for their tips. When he was twenty two he even signed on with a band to explore a new line of caverns recently discovered not far from Stormwind.

It had been the moment he had waited for his entire life. As he stood outside the rocky cropping that hid the cave entrance he looked at the few people he had been traveling with for a few months. They were friendly enough people but mostly kept to themselves. Minot did not mind, though, as he kept himself busy by keeping a log of his journey so far and scribbling notes about the different things he thought of or learned from the others. When all was said and done he had such renewed vigor in his belief that he was meant to do this, that even when the group disbanded he vowed to himself to never quit. To go always where others would not.
