Personality

Lyriel has respect for any and all races, be they dead or alive, holy or unholy. She doesn't really care what race she speaks to though she harbours some distrust for members of the Alliance. Not much but it's present. Lyriel loves her family and puts them before all else, willing to give her unlife for her family at any given moment. She has an eye for extreme detail, always looking to improve her craft no matter what. Even in her undead state she enjoys working the forge as much as she can or to just have a one on one sword fight with someone.

History

Lyriel was born in the kingdom of Quel'thalas in the noble family Fairstar. The family was known for both it's blacksmith professional and the overseas trade as well as engineering. Lyriel was trained from an early age in the arts of blacksmithing and trade as well as engineering. Becoming an engineer never truly spoke to Lyriel until she was eighteen years of age and saw an explosion within Silvermoon, a magic experiment gone awry that she became interested in the art of engineering. She started experimenting with sword combat, engineering and blacksmithing for decades. Over the years she started loving the explosive parts of engineering.

When the First War arrived, Lyriel was still working on her crafts, pushing herself to the limits with each new weapon or piece of armor she made, trying to perfect herself. Even when her arts were amazing she herself kept pushing herself to make better weapons and armor, wanting to be the best in the art. Because of this the First War simply passed her by, only the occasional rumor or report reaching her ears.

The Second War was different. Instead of staying behind practicing her arts, she volunteered for the Alliance army along with her younger sister. Her craft was amazing but still she was not happy with her own craft. It wasn't until her sister was sent back to Silvermoon for her 'spinelessness' that Lyriel was angered with the Alliance and left the army to return to Silvermoon.

Lyriel continued doing what she loved to do, blacksmithing, sword-playing and engineering until her father took her and the family on a surprise holiday. A surprise holiday that saved their lives. As the family spent time at the beach, a feeling crept over them, a bad feeling. They returned to Silvermoon to find it in ruins from the Scourge attack.

Lyriel was angered by what happened to 'her' city and 'her' people. She started travelling to forget about the war. During this time, she learnt of how her people renamed themselves Blood Elves in honour of their fallen brothers and sisters. She later fell ill to her addiction of Arcane and started feeding upon the Fel thanks to a messenger from Kael'thas' forces in Outland. After some time, she joined up with an expedition to Northrend along with her uncle, Korvus. After some time, Lyriel met another Blood Elf and the two fell in love. This continued for some time until the two decided to marry. The wedding was short and not special and her uncle was her best man.

After the marriage, one of her brothers in Northrend died. For safety reasons, his body was burned. The burning was not without trouble. When the fire was finally ending, Lyriel and her new husband held each other and the Scourge attacked the camp. All were caught off guard and Lyriel was grabbed from her new husband's grasp by an abomination and throw into him, back first. This broke her back and killed her.

Lyriel awoke in Acherus a while later, clad in Saronite plate with a special brace and without emotion. She fought until the battle of Light's Hope Chapel. Here, along with her husband, she was freed from the tyranny of the Lich King.

Her mind her own again, she repressed what she was forced to do for the Lich King and returned to Silvermoon. Here Lyriel was greeted with snide remarks for being undead. After a long new study and a long search, she found her family and while some don't accept members of the undead into their family, the Fairstars brought her back in without hesitation.

Recently she discovered her father was assassinated. Now she is trying to help her family find the killer and aiding her older sister, Syleai, manage the House to the best of her abilites.
