Whatever little amount of skin is visible through his attire his grey and pallid. He wears a hood in an attempt to conceal his face, and as he walks through cities and streets he always avoids eye contact with any living strangers. The man's age is most certainly obvious. Wrinkles adorn his ghastly features and his hair is a pale grey, nearly white. His armour is a bloodstained colour, and the claymore on his back has a family crest etched into the hilt.

Personality

Lladimore was once a proud man who walked the streets of Stormwind with his head held high. Now it is hidden in shame, and the pride that used to define him has become self-loathing. Whilst he can recall a happy memory, it would take a miracle for him to ever have a positive outlook on anything. He drags himself around, runic eyes down at the floor and wishing he could be someone else. Despite his lack of cheer, happiness, and general will to live, he's determined to try and redeem himself and atone for his sins by helping the Alliance in whatever way he can.

Those who know Lladimore would find he tends to zone out from time to time. Sometimes mistaken for daydreaming, he drifts out of reality. A combination of trauma, old age and deterioration of his brain has left his mind a complete mess. His longing for wanting to be alive again has caused him to occasionally think he's back in a time where he was living at random intervals. He might think someone is a friend or family member, or begin adjusting imaginary clothes. In general he'll be under the delusion he's no longer a Death Knight and everything is peachy. But when he leaves his little trance, he'll have no memory of it.

History

Lladimore Volhensen was born into a family of nobles in the city of Stormwind. The noble family owned numerous businesses selling various weaponry and armour, and whilst this brought them a heavy income of gold, it left Lladimore's parents with little time to spend with their only child. He was tutored at home, and during the late hours of the day he was often watched by a babysitter whilst his parents were off doing their own things. The babysitter often sent him off to sleep with stories as she sat beside his bed, and for those years of his life he was under the impression that the world was perfect. Nothing bad was around him, so this only enforced his beliefs.

The boy soon grew into a talented adult. He was proving to be skilled with a sword and an excellent horseman. With plenty of money to support him, he decided to join Stormwind's army. He went through the ranks at a steady pace, and it seemed the military was a place where he belonged. In this time he met a woman, Juliette, who he would ask to marry him after 3 years. Fortunately she said yes, and after settling down with children, Lladimore continued his service in the army but at the same time ensuring that he didn't grow distant. However, the illusion that his life was perfect was shattered when the First War came.

He took up his blade and went to where he was needed the most: the battlefield. He fought valiantly against marauding Orcs during the first siege of the keep, charging through the gates on horseback and slaying any in his way. At this moment he thought they were dumb, hateful animals. His opinion changed when he was witnessing his country being ravaged one town at a time, and finally, the taking of Stormwind City. Bruised and war-torn, Lladimore returned to his family on the ships to find that his daughter had been lost during an Orc raid.

For the next few years he was given shelter, but his blood was boiling. The moment the armies were rebuilding, Lladimore immediately joined the ranks once more, unable to pass the opportunity to extract revenge. After The Horde pushed through Khaz Modan, Lladimore was in Anduin Lothar's half of the army that fought in the Hinterlands. Once they were successful, he accompanied the army and fought on the great bridges of the Thandol Span.

Lladimore was present for the final battle of the second war - the bloody battle of the Dark Portal, and managed to survive, though not without some injuries. He returned back to the ruins of Stormwind after victory, rebuilding his manor and slowly getting onto his feet. A few years later, and Lladimore would be seeing some new additions to his house. People from Westfall arrived in Elwynn, and a mother was extending her services to become a maid for the Volhensens. Lladimore hired her, unaware of just how much different his life would be afterwards. She had a child that occasionally came with her - Annabelle Greene. At first he didn't take much notice, but after repeated visits, Lladimore began to take a liking to the curious girl. Though he wasn't aware of it, it almost seemed like she was filling the void of losing one of his other children.

The two families grew rather close, and often if the Greenes needed financial aid, Lladimore would happily extend a helping hand. Whatever path Annabelle was going down, Lladimore would pay for it.

It was merely by coincidence that Lladimore's life would be stolen in the hills of Tirisfal. Travelling there to secure a business deal, it was no more than day afterwards that he had been trapped after the plague was unleashed. He had yet to contract the it, but there was Scourge in every direction. Finally, he was found by a Death Knight. After a showdown of clashing steel, Lladimore was slain and raised in Acherus as a Death Knight after being deemed worthy of such.

Forced to serve the Scourge, he committed atrocities that still haunt him in the present. His will was restored to him at the battle of Light's Hope, and he was left to relive the memories. He went back to Stormwind, donning blood-red attire and hiding his face. He was overjoyed to find out that his family was still alive, but he never revealed his undeath to them. He thought it would be better for him to simply be erased from memory. He sends gifts to the manor and gives no indication as to who it was from, and sometimes even bribes people not to let people know.

Though not yet able to forgive himself, he feels it's worth attempting to fight for his country once more. Even if it's without fame to his name, or hatred for his very existence.
